If you put VR goggles on that (retail versions are avaliable, as I am ordering one in the near future), and it was first person, I don't think I'd ever play any other game.

...sadly, I think it isn't first person.

Looks to be a step up from Resident Evil the remake and RE4 Graphics wise that is. I still don't think much can beat the remake of the original one that was my favorite of the Resident Evil storylines and I dunno just thought it was the best of the games period.

However seeing that trailer made my appetite grow a little stronger.

Edit: Ok now I'm really excited its coming out for Xbox 360 as well. About time RE came to the Xboxes.

Part of the problem with RE being that it's a third person game, seen from the perspective of various, unhelpful, awkward camera angles that end up causing you to bump into things and run about like a demented retard on speed. It literally makes your player controlled character look like Halo 1 soldier AI is at the helm.

If they got rid of that I'd consider it... definately looks good graphically but I'm not interested in that, I want to know how it plays.

Same here. I haven't really liked playing the previous Resident Evil games, but they are a treat to watch... I did like the Survivor series, mind you. It was just an arcade zombie shooter. Cheap thrills.

Make this first person and I'll declare myself Japanese.

Anyway, although I was skeptical about RE5's middle eastern/African setting at first, I suppose it could work. And just so you know, it will be using RE4's wonderful over-the-shoulder camera (which makes the controls infinitely less clunky) and laser aiming.

And Xbox360, so yay. Must remember to put this one in my sig. XD

sweet info. I loved RE4's new approach to camera angles, and was hoping this would be the same....

Well, I hope you all downloaded it while you had the chance. Capcom announced that it wanted all of the RE5 trailers removed from independent sites.

And so... no more RE5 trailers for now. At least at the "bigger" gaming sites.

It's controvertial but many people (myself included) think that the main duder is Chris Redfield (w00t!!) although its still not revealed. I think it's 'bout time Chris got his own game since RE1 (even if he was a side guy on RE:CVX he wasn't main), to be honest I'll be a bit miffed if it isn't Chris (come to think of it, if it is Chris Redfield then where he is, is most likley in Europe...*puts on history glasses* 'cos in RE2 when Claire went to look for Chris he a;ready left for Europe, and he came back to save Claire blah blah all on the RE site ^^ so he should be kicking European ass...wait...that's MY ass O_o)

I agree with the rule most of the time. Extremely old threads can be an eyesore.

However, I noticed this thread is about a game that isn't released yet. I think it's okay that Rincewynd brought it back up. Much better than starting a new thread about the same game that isn't out yet. Gah, it's always hard to call these sort of situations, but I think it makes sense this time.

Yay! New Resident Evil! Man, those graphics are smooth as.....something that is very, extremely smooth.

Damn, I don't have a 360, and I'm not paying $1000+ dollars for a PS3.
