Seeing as this topic's about a strange/broken fansite, I have a question: What happened to the following saites? I found them recently but the links either say page not found or the site's deeactivated. For example:

Necrum Storey Stone= drakan you have this in your sig but it is deactivated. Will you ever reactivate it?

Oddworldian.net. I noly recently found this but it doesn't exist anymore.

Oh and there's another thing: The oddworld ewebsite's section in Oddworld Univers: Industrial:Characters: Vykkers has a link to vykkerslabs.com but the site seems to simply be a review page and various old links to stuff like products etc. don't work.

My simple question is: What happened to all these sites?

for oddworldian: well the webmaster lost interest in oddworld, as simple as that
for vykkerslabs.com: it was a promotion site made by microsoft, for some reason they took it off. But I know some members have saved it.

Maintaining websites is actually quite demanding. I know that Abe Babe has a lot of other things to do, and I can understand. I simply don't have the time to dedicate to the forums or OWU that I once had.

It is sad, but all good things must come to an end.

Oddblog, is actually the last oddworld site that's still up to date, I'm quite proud of that and it ain't going to stop soon.

The offial Oddworld.com website is dead at moment, so you woundn't get much updates during this period. When Oddworld get back with movies and stuff, then we will see some juicy updates.

I've heard of www.oddworld.au.com. But I never really cheched it out. I've noticed that alot of oddworld sites are closing. I myself think its sad.

What happened to Elum's Stable? And Mudokon Maniac? And ODDBODD's site (I found these sites when browsing the archives). Why have so many Oddworld fansites just died?

I bet most of them lost interest as the old-new consoles(ps2&xbox) were creating other good games like Halo (which I actually hate).

Most of the sites i've been to haven't been updated since 2002! It makes me sad to see people drop in intrest for oddworld.

I'd have thought they'd have risen in interest due to Stranger's Wrath, but ah well. I used to love Oddworld, then i lost interest between 2002 and early 2004 due to nothing realy happening. My interest was re-started when the first news of OSW came out, and it got kicked back into fist gear when Cyber-Slig gave me a link to these forums and I refound my interest.
