1-I forgot the past
It is yet another day in the O.H.C (Oddworld Human Capacity).
In here, life is completely miserable. Take the Nuthouse, times it by seven, and you would get the horror of this place. The sligs, vykers, and interns have joined forces and held all humans in this place. Every day, it had the stench of bad meat. Security was tight, and no human has escaped over the past three years. Oh, and at first, there were over one hundred trillion humans inside this building, and all of them are wearing prison clothes. Three years later, there are now exactly one million, three hundred forty three thousand, nine hundred fifty one, because many of them were executed for their insolence.
The O.H.C was a big place, so it was easy to get lost. On each floor, they would have an age. So floor one would be for the one-month-old babies up to eleven-month-old babies. On the second floor, they would hold the one-year-old babies. On the third floor, they would hold the two-year-old toddlers, and so on. The whole building has one hundred and forty floors, because they had extra floors for the guards and employees. At the very bottom was the lobby, and the very top floor was the boss room. A huge slig by the name of Kill-Gun runs this place, and he sits in this room practicly all day. Let me tell you this, HE IS BAD! No human has ever set foot in this room, and no human ever will. If anyone does, they would be shot ASAP.
But life wasn’t always horrible for the humans. They have been cleaned and cared for. They even had an education system in there. But they didn’t learn about the things they were used to. They learned about Oddworld-related topics like scrabs, paramites, and many more creatures. Possibly the most horrible rule in the O.H.C is that no human was ever to go outside the building. If they would (like I said before), THEY WOULD BE SHOT.
The O.H.C itself looked like an asylum, only much more bigger and didn’t have any windows. The inside was pure, dark-blue metal that also had gears on the walls. The O.H.C’s only light supply was from some light bulbs on every floor. Some of the walls even had blood on them because of the killed creatures of Oddworld. Yes, this place is also a meat processing plant that is even more famous than Rupturefarms. The main meat processing plant was a little bit to the right of the O.H.C. A huge bridge known as ‘Major Fury’ connected it so that people could get to and from easily.
But enough about the O.H.C’s descriptions. There are two main characters in this story, and their names are Ryan Keys and Carla Davidson. By the way, they are both at the age of twelve. ‘Ryan is a love magnet.’ As others say. He has silverish-blonde hair, gray eyes, and pure white skin. His hair feels like a pillow and his breath seems to smell like freshly baked muffins all the time. Carla was a beautiful young lady. Her dark brown hair and green eyes dazzled every boy.
Now, let’s get to the story.
On a Monday in April, it was raining like mad outside. Everyone in the building couldn’t hear it because the O.H.C’s structure is very thick. As Ryan and Carla are hanging out in their cell (because they were obviously cell mates), Carla stood up from the hard, metal bench and looked at Ryan sitting in a corner.
“Ryan, I need to ask you something.” Said Carla.
Ryan had stood up as well.
“What is it?” He asked.
“I need you to tell me about the past again.” Replied Carla.
Ryan took out a huge sigh. He was pretty much the only one that knew about the past. Everyone else had completely forgot. You see, Ryan has a very good memory. He remembers how they ended up here three years ago. It is like a vivid dream to him.
“Let’s sit down.” He said.
They both sat down on the hard, metal bench and Ryan began the story.
“It all started on a beautiful sunny day back on Earth. While you were outside talking to your friends, I was skateboarding on this gear I set up on our cul-de-sac. I was trying to show off my moves to you, but you didn’t pay attention to me.
“All of a sudden, I saw a huge black figure in the sky. It looked like a UFO to me, but it was more than just that. It must have been the size to a blue whale that just multiplied its size by four. I could no longer see the sky, because it was that big. It stopped about twenty feet over my head. All of a sudden, sligs came out of the UFO like ants. All of them ambushed us. Once they had us all in a net, they threw us into the UFO. ‘That’s all of them.’ A slig told the pilot of the ship. Then the ship took off. There were lots of humans on the ship. It was so unbearable.
“We must have gone into outer space because I moved around enough to look out the window. We weren’t alone, because there were over ten thousand of these UFOs surrounding the Earth. All of a sudden, the ships fired laser beams at Earth, and then it was destroyed into tiny pieces. I must have went into tears, because everything was blurry. After the Earth was obliterated, the windows had been shut for some reason (the sligs did not want to let them know how to get to Oddworld). I had no choice but to go to sleep."
“Lunchtime!” Yelled a slig.
“I’ll tell you more later.” Said Ryan.
