The syringe logo was so much more relevant to the game. It reflected the Vykker's experiments on Gabbits, Fuzzles, Meeps, etc. I think the whole 'can' idea better suits AE, where the focus was on Soulstorm brew.
I think they realised that a big dirty syringe wouldn't attract the wide audience they wanted. Kids (and their parents!) would not be encouraged to buy the game if they saw a nasty syringe on the cover. More likely is that some external group said they must change the logo as it is not appropriate. Perhaps it was Microsoft, but I'm not blaming them. Or maybe when the game was being rated, the rating company didn't think a logo such as that would suit a young audience and said "If you change the logo, you'll get a lower rating.", such as T (teen).
Whatever the case, it's their decision and it's been made. There's nothing we can do to change it so why complain.
And one more thing: Abe Babe, do NOT change the layout of your site. It looks excellent the way it is.
