In the closing vid for munchs odyssey (i got this after SW), it shows lulu winning the gabbiar, but he is obviously mad at this, so he could have smashed it if he wanted. The point is, it didn't show how munch and abe got the gabbiar from him. Surely, he has security and things.

surely, abe can posses him and make the security go away so munch can take the can from him.

The newspaper graphic at the end does explain it a little, with the phrase "Dumb gluk loses priceless gabbiar can," or something like that. Although you're right, the exact circumstances of the can changing hands aren't explained. I would guess it involved another possession or just a classic snatch-and-run.

Is it me, or did Abe seem to be losing control of Lulu once he became more stredded?

Case in point: Lulu says "What am I doin'? What am I doin'? What am I doin'? What am I doin'? THREE MILLION MOOLAH!" insead of just straight-out saying "Three Million Moolah" with no hesitation.

It seems that Abe loses more control depending on how stressed the mind of his host is, which also raises the question of weather or not the host is aware of what's going on. And perhaps that's why Abe usually has to kill them when he's through, to keep them from spilling the beans about Abe's doings...

Alf: Abe once told me that possession took a lot of concentration, and sometimes that can be broken, when someone else is in the room, distracting them. Or yelling at them, or whatever. That poor guy had a roomful of squawking people, he had the pressure of saving the world, and he had Munch yelling at him! I suppose it possessing someone would feel weird no matter HOW many times you'd done it.

Well, did Alf also answer the question as to how Abe got the can. I'm sure after spending 3 million moolah on it, he wouldn't want to lose it even if he never really wanted it.Though I guess it doesn't really matter, and that isn't a question worth asking to Alf.
