Why do al the outlaws talk about blisterz?

This might be a spoiler for those who havn't played the game yet...

Here comes my theorie...
In the intro movie you see blisters booty hunting on stranger but stranger captures him.
In a diferent topic I saw that the gun blisterz booty had did look like the one that sekto holds at the end of the game.
On the dside of the gun you see some marks like this IIIII.
This may indicate that while sekto hunts on steefs mayybe blisterz did also hunt steefs wich brought me to the thought that he could have known about the fact that stranger was a steef and that could have been the reason why he was hunting 'the steef'

It's just a theory...

Actually, I read Kimon's post first, so when I saw your theory, I automatically thought of some other theory or number of theories. It's a pretty good theory, but it seems flawed...

Like for instance, how would Blisters know that Stranger was a steef if he was perfectly disguised as the Stranger during the chase?

Also, the gun is debatable. At first I thought, perhaps he uses the same type of gun as Sekto. The reflecting markings on both guns voided this theory though.

Then I thought, perhaps it was just lazy programming? I mean, I would have no problem with putting the same gun in, because it's a small and minute detail.

But story-wise, it's a good theory. Realistically speaking, however, it's a bit flawed.

I agree with you it might just be lazy progrmming, probably they didn't expect people to look so close to the game.
But noboby knows what happened before the hunt on stranger. It maybe boilz already knew, or doc slipped his mouth...

But when I think about it i wonder why, if boilz knew it at all, he didn't start some rumours about stranger while he was in jail, I mean he was perfectly able to talk to the jailkeeper and clackerz like to chatter these things throught town...

actually i made myself just a little confuzzled

I like how you try to make out the plot and if people knew certain things, which could explain a lot of the story's mysteries, but I think it all boilz (lol) down to: Did the story board people actually think all of this stuff out and we're meant to solve this puzzle? or did they simply have the plot there in front of our face the whole time, and there really was nothing else to it? I'm going to hint towards the latter, as there's a million other possibilities that could have come up when we look at the mysteries of the game.

I like to keep a level head and try to think things out logically, but I also have an imaginative side that likes what you're saying. You just keep devising theories. They're quite interesting

Blisterz Booty is a hunter of endangered species, and split up with his brother because he wasn't into hunting people (i.e. Clakkerz). That he knew Stranger was a Steef is the only logical explanation, but Stranger acts very casual about Blisterz having this knowledge. Mr Booty could have shouted this information at the Jail Clerk at any time!

When he's in jail, he goes on about how his brother will break him out. Perhaps he kept quiet about Stranger's secret because he didn't want anyone taking his kill?

Judging by the comments in the 'Captured' movie, I think thats the best bet indeed.

Well, that may be true, but I still don't think that DID happen, because Stranger was the Stranger NOT a steef at the time. You MUST realize this before jumping to any conclusions. Stranger is in the middle of hunting outlaws when we meet him in the beginning of the game, to give the moolah to the doc. Even though we find out that this is not enough when we go see the doc, he assumes so in trying to bag his "bounty", which he says every so often. It is then perfectly logical that Stranger was hunting Blisterz, not the other way around.

My theory is that the Boilz-Stranger chase began just like any other Outlaw in the game.

Notice Stranger has a wanted poster, and was setting traps. Now why would Stranger be setting traps for something he didn't know was gonna happen? It could simply be that Stranger went hunting for blisterz, pissed him off, got Blisterz to chase him, he fell into the trap, and was captured.

Similar to what Conker Tribe said. Stranger was hunting Blisterz, not the other way around.

As to why Outlaws are always talking about Blisterz- I assume he was one of the head Outlaws- an Outlaw that all other Outlaws looked up to, even. If not a head Outlaw, a reasonably powerful one.

Stranger was hunting Blisterz, because of the aforementioned traps set. It's a different way of hunting, yes, but it gets the job done.

Also I doubt that Blisterz is a high prestigious bounty hunter - just look at the price you get for turning him in.

I always assumed this was not due to actual story, but to place in game- the very beginning.

O, well. There's something about the Outlaw dialogue that keeps me with my theory.

My Theory- Maybe he was a 'Top Outlaw' that all other look up to, but he didn't bother the Clakkers much, maybe he bothered the Grubbs after the Olden Steef went, which therefore means that he is worthy of Sekto, because Sekto bothers the Grubs, but the Clakkers don't give a damn about the Grubbs, which is why he isn't worth much to the Clakkers.

Blisterz is certainly a notorious Outlaw, but if he doesn't bother Clakkerz all that much, then obvious they won't put too high a price on his head. Another thing to bear in mind is that Gizzard Gulch is a small, poor town, suffering economically following the attacks on resources by Filthy Hands Floyd and the Looten Duke, plus the occupation of farmland outside of town by Outlaws: it may simply be that they don't have all that much Moolah to pay Stranger with.

i think that blisters is just a well known outlaw to other outlaws and the clakkers when u turn him in if u read what hes wanted for its just for harrasing the town folk of buzzerton

That's probably why he wasn't a lot of money in Gizzard Gulch, if he turned him in at Buzzarton, he probably would have gotten more. Why should they care about Buzzarton?

I do not really understand you. Gizzard gulch is the only clackers town not lnext to a forest. The forest is between buzzarton and new yolk city

I would say they talk about Blisterz a lot because he is higher status. Perhaps he is notorious for hunting Steef.
