Do you have oddworld dreams?

Have you ever had a dream which was in oddworld or related to it?

Yeah, I had oddworld in my dreams, but I fogot em. Well one when I was 11, you know that cut scene where the Slig and glukkon sold brew in AE. Well there was Muds there, and they were waiting to resuced by Abe. But the mud said "Oww, Abe will never come, we waited and waited" Then the Mudokon stabed himself on the head with a knife.

And one time I dreaming about new MO levels, with a city in the bakground.

My Mum had been playing Oddworld all day, and she had a dream that she was being shased by a Slig, and she tried to chant but she couldn't possess him but she couldn't understand why.

I also had a dream, but I don't remember it very well

I never had a dream that I was on Oddworld but I have dreamt that I was working for OWI (yes, it's sick, I know). I think I stuffed up and Lorne was really angry and he fired me or something like that. That sort of thing is a fairly typical dream for me anyway.

once a time, i don't remember when i had a dream of me beeing a mud in the slog kennels, i was running to save my loincloth from slog teeth but then i suddenly stood on a cliff and fell. And while i was falling i woke up, if i didn't woke up it would be a deathfall, i'm at least sure of that

I've seen many time dreams, where I play oddworld games and I'm in them. So it's not Abe who's jumping around, it's me. ^_^

I had one last night. You know on Sonic the Hedghog 2 in the Chemical Plant when the water starts rising, I had a dream that I was Abe walking up some stairs with water coming up, then tense music starting playing, and Abe popped up just like Sonic does and said: No!

Lately I've been having the same dream about an Oddworld Television channel. Odd TV, I think it was called. I would turn on the X-Box and flip to channel 5.

I've also had dreams about Oddworld figurines and models on stands.

i had a dream once, before MO came out, when i was playing a game on a gameboy then i found this secret area that sent me to MO and i saved 20 muds straight away.

But there was this once... or twice, i dreamt that i was talking to Lorne Lanning, about stuff. As friends. Man, i got dissapointed when i found out it was only a dream x_x

I used to have Oddworld dreams, but it's been a long time since I have had one. Then again, I really don't remember my dreams all the time.

One I do remember was that I was in a level of Munch's Oddysee [I think I was in the level as opposed to playing it]. Of course the level wasn't one from the game, but something different. I remember that I had to escape this rising quicksand and to do so I found myself in one of the Glukkon facilities.

The only Oddworld related dream I can remember- Basically, AO's opening, but with a minor change- Glukkons became Mudokons, and instead of New 'N Tasty being made of Glukkon heads on a stick, it was just guts in a bowl. That's about it, really. All the Mudokons were laughing at Glukkons, it was really weird :s

I had a dream about Oddworld only once. It was a batallion of Glukkons and Sligs, armed to the teeth, in some kind of Star Wars-esque spacecraft that had landed on an unknown planet. The music was keyed up like the very beginning scene in Jurassic Park, where Muldoon and the soldiers are unloading the raptor cage. The Sligs all had their guns aimed at the ship's mechanical door, and it was slowly lowering. Finally it opened, and they all looked up to see towering humans and a giant suburban house before them. They had travelled to Earth, landed in someone's back yard, and it turned out that the creatures of Oddworld were as tiny as insects compared to us... Sort of a Twilight Zone ending, rather sad really...

I was Abe, and infiltrating Vykers Labs, it was in Munch, so Munch could revive me with that egg thing. The plan (I think) was to send Abe in and get the Vykkers to use all of their seditives to keep killing Abe and so run out of them. I was Abe and I was running past them and they caught me. It was very, very painful. And it went on, and on, and on. So many needles. Not fun. @_@

Yup happens to me ALL the time. I just drift off to sleep and I'm still playing the game in my mind!!!!

Also I always think I hear the Oddworld music in the background somewhere, whether it's a TV show or on the radio.

I read a short sci-fi story that was like that, but in reverse. In the story, aliens had landed on Earth and the humans appears small as insects to them. The story ended by the aliens using bug killer to kill all the humas [as they thought we were bugs].

I had one where I was finding sniper wasps from SW stuck in the ground in a neighborhodd where I used to live- and they were HEAVY as if made of die cast metal...

I can relate... I've had the dream for 5 or 6 years now also. I imagine the least I could do is send a resumé and portfolio whenever I have one together that's worth showing. The worst that can happen is that OWI never call me.

It's worth a shot, you should try it if you believe you have a portfolio of a high standard.

I'm not talented in those kinds of areas, and I did look into getting into a game design course this year to try and learn those skills, but the requirements to get in were not only tough, but I didn't have the talent [drawing wise] for that kind of thing. I just want to work in Fan Relations or on their website. Or even in the office. But those positions are all taken, plus that i live in Australia makes it difficult for me. I did send my resume in at one time, but it's outdated now.

Don't give up. If you work hard enough to expand your resumé, they'll have to hire you. Besides, you could always move if you want the job bad enough (I know I would).

I'm most interested in character design and conceptual artwork. I imagine it'd be a lot tougher to get accepted for such positions though. Especially when they're not necessarily in need to fill such positions. =(

I had a dream once, it was before the first movie of strangers wrath came out to watch. I was either stranger or with him and i was in a dark place outside a building. all these bad guys came out and strated shooting at me, while i was running and dodging them.

Catch-22 indeed. Then again, this is where schooling helps. If you've a good program at University and somewhat-decent Professors, then you should have no problem building experience, a resumé, and a portfolio so that you're ready for the hire when you're done.

Um, about evey frickin' night! Actually gets annoying after awhile...Mostly ones with my fan-characters in 'em.
Just recently, though, I did dream that I was Stranger's apprentice.
