Not enough Moolah

Does anyone know what happens if you don't have enough Moolah when you finish the bounties? I've been capturing them all alive, but loads of my Moolah was spent on upgrades, so it's not looking good for me. Just wondering if your game ends there or what? I am concerned, to be frank.

At some point down the road Moolah will not be a big factor. Spend it like you got it,
