That's highly sick. What they need is some hard-core rehabilitation so they can be reintegrated into society as healthy and productive people. A ban from looking after children wouldn't go amiss, either.

People who do that sort of thing to their children are not fit to be part of society, i'll not go into capital punishment as i disagree with it but they deserve a life sentance at least. I'd also love to see the law sell their posessions and use their savings to aid children in similar situations.

I totally agree. Although sometimes it does seem like people like this deserve to die, I don't even think that death is good enough for the likes of these people. I say let them rot in prison the rest of their lives-that would be their torture.
