Help on Looten Duke

is it possible to catch Looten Duke alive because everytime i fight him he falls in the fan

I notice a lot of people don't really need the help they ask for. The game is not that difficult, some parts you just take a little time to think about. I'm sure most of the help offered has had no help on the person who posted it considering they probably got past it before the first reply...
