I have seen the Light...and it was Odd

the other day i happened to stumble upon Abe's Exodus (PC) so i decided to give it a go. Man i am HOOKED! this is a great game. SO then later i go to EBgames and pick up Munch's Odyssey as well!

this is an amazing series of games that is really under rated!! like the characters and the whole setting of oddworld is amazing.

I will probably pick up Stranger Wrath once i get some more cash but i wanna spend some time on these 2 games and finish em first.

You should pick up Abe's Oddysee as well. It was the first and is the only thus far to contain Elum. Plus you can pick it up from gamestop or Eb used for 99 cents.

I'd have to agree with Volsung, to really experience the series, despite the fact that I believe Abe's Exoddus is my favorite of the first three, you have to own the first game to really understand a lot more too of Abe's story.

most of the backstory is on munchs oddesy
its in the movies section
it tells you the jist of the two games
but playing them is better than watching ten minutes of cutscenes

i even check the net but couldnt find it

its really overlooked
i kinda got into it cuz of the huge response from stranger
so i decided id play the previous games first then get strangers wrath

its nice to see games that actually have great gameplay and story and are not Final Fantasy type games which are a dime a dozen

When reading the first post, I was totally confused. Xavier finding out about abe exodus?? Picking up munch too??? How old is this thread was my next thought. Then I saw it, it wasn't Xavier, but someone with his avatar. Please use another one, I don't want to be confused all the time.

Yeah, I got confused with an other member having Alcar's avater, Alcar told if he could change his avater (becuase he had it for 3 years) and the member did. It's funny thuogh.

I got real hooked with the games too. Like when I first heard "A guy can possess his enimies!?!, that's new"

Congrats on discovering Oddworld! I see you're in Ontario as well. I had a really difficult time finding Abes Oddyssee. Do you have a PSOne? Because I managed to buy an inexpensive used copy off of www.ebaygames.com

I actually had my xbox and Munch's Oddysee first, and then went back and bought a PSOne just for the first two Oddworld games. They are my favourite games by far.
