I don't mean to make the europeans/austrailians envious, but I must tell you.

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath is simply put: mindblowing.

Honestly, I cannot belive how incredible this game is. I was playing it last night and I was just in shock and awe. The graphics are just god damn unbelievable. 12-15 hours of gameplay? Pfft more like 50 hours of drooling. Honestly the animations, and the textures, and everything about the graphics are superior.

But hopefully the graphics don't outshine the gameplay. And in this case, this game had the potential to change acton gaming forever. Keyword is had, I'll talk about that later but its more of how Stranger was marketed way to late just when the game was about to release.

But anyway, I can actually play this game anyway I want. Honestly I will probably go through this game about 3 times becuase I want to try out new things, that the first time I am playing it I would be missing out on other ways to bounty guys or enter an area...etc.

Like Abe Babe said in her preview 6 months ago, you can make Stranger's Wrath YOUR game. PLay how you want, and for that I think aton of people will be attracted to it becuase everyone has their own different play tastes.

How's the story? Amazing so far, I'm trying to pick up alot of the messages OWI is presenting...hopefully I get them.

How bout them Clakkerz? Well they remind me alot of the game called Fable. Yes that XBox RPG, but the whole Clakkerz and the towns are setup like it just reminds me of it. You can interact with the NPC's and they will react to what the things you do. And when you take a mission, you can ask them info about that and they will respond accordingly. Its ever so changing. And beating up on the Clakkerz is hilarious and brings alot more realism when they go run away and hide and make sure things are cool outside.

Anyway the live ammo...well I love the genius of how you search the gorgeous terrain to pick up the ammo and hunt them. I just love new approaches on getting ammo, and this is one of them. The live ammo so far from what I played has been working well with any technique you want to pursue (whether its stealth, action, or etc). It also brings alot more originality and charm to the game...as if this game needs more originality.

Seriously the boss battles are stunning, these boss battles literally put a shame to what Halo 2 tried to incorporate, but failed miserably at that. You may think they react one way, but they really don't and they kind of act like a platformer boss battle...so its always new and you won't expect what's coming.

As for that big plot twist 3/4 the way in the game? I haven't made it that far yet. I can't wait...eventhough I'm 99% sure I know what it is.

Anywho do I really need to tell the Oddworld fanbase to not go get this game right this instant? Heh I couldn't imagine one Oddworld fan not getting this game, it seriously is my favorite game of all time so far, and half of that is becuase of the Stranger character design.

Now that you have said all of that Dualist, I just have one thing to tell you: I want that game now, dammit. I can't wait 'til it's here, ready for me to play. All I have to do is go in to the shop, show them my receipt and I pick SW up. The waiting parts the hardest. *sigh* Why can't I have it now? (Rhetorical question ).

For you guys, OSW should be released at the same time as everyone else, like the Halo 2 release. Except europeans got it 3 or 2 days later.

I wish it was like the Halo 2 release and we all got it at the same time. I also wish I could get the DVD over here, I need to find another way to get it.

Do we really need multiple "I got it so you can suck shit" threads?

May I propose a merge?

This is more sort of 'general discussion of awe' thread, not like the others. Merge if you wish, I just think it is slightly distinguishable(sp?!) from the others.

Badgering Clakkerz you say? (Arf arf) Do they react accordingly, as in they run screaming and crying when you hit them? I'm hoping they cry, because then you actually notice what you have done. I hope there is penalties for badgering, OWI Gives some realism, ya'know?

Catching live ammo? Now that would be a h00t. Do they run away, or protest whence capture, or beforehand?

(Sorry, aint I just the curious type...)

Hey any one outside of North American who really wants Stranger, I am sure there is someone stupid enought to play the game for a little while and then decide to sell it on ebay, so check ebay and be the first on your block (or in all of Europe) to have the Oddworld Stranger game. But it is the most amazing Xbox game I have ever seen, truely! It leaves me wordless

Yeah, but you need a ntsc xbox to play it, so if you have PAL, you can only play with the DVD itself, DVD case and booklet.

You would need an inter-changable format game, hmm...I am not sure if Stranger is interchangable for Xbox or not, some games are and some arn't

The game is absolutely beautifull. I can't believe how much they have put into it. I'm almost at the end and I'm dreading meeting my first Octigi
