Australian Release Date

At this stage this is unconfirmed but this website gives the Australian release date as the 28th of Feb. Also the guy in my local EB store told me that he doesn't think that they will be supplying the DVD as the game will be sold for only $79.95 (for furriners, thats 20 bucks cheaper than normal Xbox games).

I've emailed Alf to get a confimation/denunciation on those details so we shall have to wait and see.

Funny, usually Australia gets games near/ at the same time as NZ. I went to EBgames today and they said "Middle of March, and what the hell is this DVD you speak of?". MIDDLE?! Pah! I must crawl and hibernate to sustain my sanity...

TMM, I'm afraid we may have to buy the DVD of the net... Sadly. There are a surprising amount of them on eBay, but you will require a multizone DVD to play, I assume.

So... we're not quite sure when it comes. Damn.
Last time I checked, X-Box games cost around $90 here, but it may differ slightly state-to-state.

Seargentbig, I believe if you are in AUS/NZ, games are approx $90, and on rare occassions, $120 (well, they are here(NZ).). Apparently, at EBgames, it IS $120! With no DVD! I then went to Gamesman, and they had it for $79.95 . Wha?

The Electronics Boutique I went to was selling it for $79.95AUD. I was surprised at first, I thought it would be $90-$100.

I e-mailed EBgames.com about getting the DVD in Australia and they said this:
Hello Adam,

Thank you for contacting EBgames.com. Usually, bonus/promotional items
do not ship internationally. Since this bonus DVD is shipping with the
game, it should still be available for you to get on the pre-order.

Usually we get stuff the same as Europe. So it's probably that date.

I'm getting my Stranger from the US anyways, as I have my US Xbox. It's just a matter of time before I will be getting it.

Its now listed on the front page of the offical Australia X-box website, listed for a March released.
I have tried to pre-order it many a time at Games Wizard at Broadway Sydney City to try get that bonus DVD

I can't belive that the Oddworld book is printed in Australia, yet its not even avalible to buy in any book/games store here(even the really big ones...)

The release of Strangers can't come fast enough, how much longer does the Pal part of the world has to wait to get thier hands on this game.

There's not really much left to talk about here untill I get to play this game...

I was doing some googling yesterday to see if I can find anything more specific about a release date (Alf hasn't replied to my email yet. I'm guessing OWI are all on holiday) and every site gives a different date ranging from 28th of Feb to 6th of March. The most common seems to be the 5th of March but I didn't think that games could be released on a Saturday.

The 4th would have symbolic significance because that's by birthday.
