EA + OI = PSP !?!
Ok, now calm down, deep breath. Its not for real. Its not even a rumour. But it is now a VERY real possibility. Now stop rolling your eyes and listen up for a second. And stop sniggering at the back.
For those of you who commute or travel or have ANY use for a mobile gaming platform, I'm pretty sure the beeeeeeeeeyoootifully crafted PSP has caught your goggles already. Now picture this.....a portable Oddworld universe. Look, if they can squeeze the Stranger into the creaking old innards of a PS2 then the near powered PSP ccould handle a compendium of Abes or a dinkified Munch or even a Stranger sub-game.
Lornes dedication to storytelling and art would mean a licensed and out-sourced game most probably, but a wirelessly linked Oddowrld RPG is not too far a stretch of the imagination. EA is obviously leaning its wallets on OI (hence PS2 conversion) and will want a piece of the new PSP market. They have already staked a claim with their ongoing licences (bond, sports, etc.) but an original intellectual property would put them on top of the heap of publishers as few are risking freshness, aiming rather for safeness.
Just a thought. Sweet dreams
