The legs may be too small because they're all vivisected, and the blood and inner flesh would naturally be bright red. They're definitely Elums, though.

Remember to post smaller questions like these in the Questions and Answers topic in the future, please.

Yeah. In the final level, there are chopped up elums on the tables. They can't be slogs, because there are forearms.

Oh soz max.Well I did'nt see any arms.I just think they are slogs.Because on the level with the pud meep rancher it said in the daily deception ''Slogs slaughtered still investigating crime scene''.So they could have took those bodies. If there are arms can you post a screenshot of the dead slogs/elums?Im miles away from the level

I have written a MO script and said that they were Elums. Personaly, I think that they are Elums, but I could be wrong. I think that there are very small arms, this is what makes me believe that they are Elums. I think that they look too big for Slogs, but on the othr hand, they could be the Giant Slogs that appeared in the begining of the game.

Another thing that maybe we have not all noticed, is that the Vykkers might be doing experiments with the arms if there are not any. I think this is something that needs to go to Alf.

:
Q: What is the reproductive model of Elums and do they lay eggs or give birth to live young?

Alf: Well, on this one, I'd have asked the Elums that are in the upcoming Munch's Oddysee, but they were surprisingly, um, unresponsive.
Shame on me for not spotted that earlier, or for forgetting about it. Tee hee hee.

:
Q:is elum in Mo? I haven't got that far butt...or is he i the new one?

Alf: You might see some of the Elum scattered about, in a manner of speaking, but Abe's Elum has retired.
I think that subtly answers the questions.

Hmph, retired, eh? That's not what I'd heard.

Probably trying to work out why chicks dig elum.

Perhaps they want to produce an elum pheremone spray to market along the lines of "Chicks dig elum, now they can dig you too! Only 139.95 Moolah. Ring now but don't send any money, we'll bill you..."

What? What do you mean Elum has retired? No more elum rides :'( ? I think it would have been awesome if you could ride an Elum in MO....

But why bother with vehicles? An elum can't jump etc and theres always a part where you have to jump so they would be useless

can't blame you for not playing AO often
I was just pointing out that Elums can jump, and it could be very intresting and fun to play an Elum in 3D.

Well I see no point really.Maybe if you could carry like 4 muds on him (Which would REALLY help on the first sloghut I HATE that level). And oh look a slig is chasing you and you're only manner of self defense is to possess him before he reaches you.I often do that but how is he supposed to concentrate while on the back of an elum?I mean Elum is lazy so he could'nt run Too fast.Unless he was being chased by a couple of scrabs (about 50) or paramites.Although I can imagine and it would seem fun.Why can't they add some industrial vehicles?I think in Hand of Odd if its released one of the many creatures we are likely to see could be a mudokon sitting on an elum attacking enemies from its back. And then the counter could be a slig riding a giant slog or some kind of vehicle.

To move faster? To avoid dangerous animals, or slig bullets? To run down slig guards? To jump over larger chasms?

Actually, he can run fast.
You've made two blantant assumptions about elum, even though both were proved wrong in AO.

maybe if you bothered to read what I said instead of a pick n' mix you would get it. I said I see no point unless h could carry more muds . And elum can run fast when he wants to. Hes a big stubborn lazy creature . And I doubt he would run them over. A slig could easily shoot it or move out the way

Calm down, CS. Esus has obviously read your posts, as have I. Elums are much used by Mudokons. If Elums are really so unusable through laziness as you say, Mudokons wouldn't utilise them so frequently. The facts that he can run faster and jump further speak for themselves why Elums are so important.

Additionally, a Slig could not easily shoot if he's unarmed. And he couldn't move out of the way very much if he was without pants or asleep.

Yes but his tone was dry.Elums aren't brave. If it saw a slig with a knife or baton it would wimp out no doubt. He would obviosly like to pick on an unarmed slig or one without his pants. However anything bigger or meaner than it and it's likely to wimp out and run away.e.g. a scrab

Esus's tone is typically dry. There's no need to react to it. I don't know about Elums fearing Sligs with knives. I've never known a horse to wimp away when a knife appears. It's simply something that they won't have grown up with.
