Blind I havent rescued the 300 muds in AE, so what?

okay...so here I am, I just finished AE after quite a while of having it rest in the dust, loveable little game, gamespeak alone is great, +the great humor
(" if you have any more questions feel free to pull the lever to your right" XD) but I also absolutley love the sense of action, it's as tight as a megaman game, but it is all much more beautifully coreographed because there's no re-spawning every time you leave the screen, and also the good old you're at the botton of the chain theme of Oddworld's.

I finished with like 284 muds...i went into every secret I spotted, and saved every little bastard in it....so, I'm a little curious: is it worth it to go back and re-do all of the game just because of 16 little muds? I feel like that ONE time trough is enough to taste the experience, so it comes down to the prize at the end for me...

But I have noticed in like ALL the faqs that there's a big taboo about telling what exactly you get when you get all 300muds. they always go like "you'll have a little surprise at the end of the game" =/ but I think....what IF at the end they just go:"so now you DO know what it feels like to get ALL 300 muds, nifty huh?"

STRAIGHT TO THE POINT
so can you tell me what the 300muds give me?, or can you tell me atleast what kind of surprise it is?...is it an in-game extra like...an extra location after the last portal, or some sorta pwr-up?or...is it more like an fmv of what REALLY REALLY happened? or some sorta "the making of.."extra? or...just the lame "congrats" screen..huh? what is it? =X

I think you mean Abe's Exoddus, not Abe's Oddysee. As Abe's Oddysee only has 99 Mudokons for you to rescue. So, in that case, by rescuing 300 Mudokons you will be rewarded with a lot of concept art from the production of Abe's Exoddus.

The FMV Cyber-Slig is referring to, is obtained in Abe's Oddysee through the 'list all movies / FMVs' cheat.

As far as I recall, it is only available on Abe's Oddysee, PAL version for PlayStation. Whether or not the PC version has it, is unknown to me.

1. You are playing Abe's Exoddus, not Abe's Oddysee
2. The shrink movie is ONLY on the PS version of Abe's Oddysee, so in other words - YOU CANNOT SEE IT UNLESS YOU BEAT AO WITH A PERFECT SCORE
3. Concept art and other images can be seen if you get a perfect score in Abe's Exoddus (which is the one you're playing) but apparently you didn't get every mudokon, so I guess there is no surprises for you. Sorry.

hey--well sorry I messed up on the names...and I actually missed alcar's completly clear post -_-;;...but please dont get all opinionated and on me now O_o I know the difference between oddysee and exoddus, I know which I'm playing cause I own them both, I just sorta messed up when I chose the acronym...had never really called them by acronym not used to it

I'm only finishing them now because I got a ps2...and I bought them by the time I got it, so I didnt want to get excited about oddworld whitout a new game to look fordward to

so I guess I should go and beat the hell out of AE(whew c.c) then...asuming the ending material isnt the same stuff you see on the site....anyway.

whew...I'm already at 80 muds...yep...mudanchee vaults...good stuff.you guys sure I cant even use the invincibility trick? I put it on and it didnt take away any muds..

You can use it. The one cheat you cannot use is the path skip cheat, every time you skip a path, atleast 3 muds are sacrificed.

Well I got back to playing MO.Killing as many muds as possible.Need some help though.By the time I complete there should be atleast 16 muds/fuzzles saved due to the levels where you must save them to open doors etc.But what if I kill every other single mud and fuzzle? Will I get black quarma?

You will indeed, Cyber-Slig, and even then I don't think you need to kill every single one. But to avoid the tragedy of having to go through the whole game again, make sure you're relatively meticulous with what you kill: drop egg crates on each other, chuck Natives off cliffs: go nuts. Just remember you need to get some Muds through levels alive to open doors before you wipe them out.

And SS, I don't think that's exactly true. Using the Path Skip would prevent you from rescuing any Mudokon you skip past, but places like Necrum where there are no Muds for long periods of time, you can probably skip past - like past all those annoying Fleech levels.

I was speaking in terms of casualties. You could skip a path with 10 muds, 10 wouldn't be rescued, but about 3 would be killed off.

I've still never known Muds to be killed off by using the Path Skip cheat.

nope....using the skip path trick automatically takes away muds from your counter, it either kills them or un-rescues them, even if it's a mud-less path...I tried it in the end path and it made me miss the good ending.(even though I had rescued 284 muds)

Try getting them to attack Interns, then keep getting Munch to shout "Hey ya little cuties!" or similar to get their attention. They'll stop attacking the Interns, but the Interns will continue to slap them silly.

Abe keeps drowning? Whereabout does he keep falling in? The only ever time I've had that trouble is when not following the level and trying to sneak him around the edge of the map.
