hmmm.........where should i start about how lame it is?

its practicly just you running around room to room and killing monsters at every corner.

all the maps look the same as its always indoors.The gameplay gets worse by the minute.

in my case after playing this game it just makes you want HL2 even more.

I'm interested in playing it (not that my computer would ever handle it) because it would be nice to play a FPS that doesn't involve thinking, because they all seem to these days. Not that I liked the first Dooms that much.
I miss Disruptor.

Buy it for the X-Box.To be honest guys I think doom 3 is just an EXACT copy of unreal 2 the awakening.Even the guy's armour looks the same.tat doesnt mean Im not gonna buy it though.

Yeah, I heard it sucked royal. Except for the graphics. Of course, I can't really verify its suckiness, considering how taxing it would be on my weak systems.

Supposedly no plot... which would have been a major selling point for me (on the Xbox). Well, no go ID. Come out with another Xbox Live Wolfenstein, dammit. That may not have had a good plot either, but at least it was hella fun online.

Still, I might rent Doom 3 to check out the online play. I mean, Rainbow Six 3's main game sucked, but the online mode made it worth buying. So much for Doom 3 being in my "top spot" of games to buy... le sigh.

Current Top 3 List:
1. Silent Hill 4 (which is starting to look kinda iffy, to be quite honest)
2. Halo 2
3. Fable

Yes, yes. But the health bar bugs me. Part of the reason I love Silent Hill so much is that it feels like a movie. The whole inclusion of an on-screen health meter and item menu pisses me off. Not only is it distracting, it just takes away from the whole experience.

And the game has a rage meter. What the f*ck is that?! If I wanted that crap, I would care about Devil May Cry 3. But I don't.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just being too geeky. Still, it's Silent Hill, so unless I hear some hella bad things (beyond the on-screen shit) about it when it comes out... I'll buy it.

Heh... sorry Davie. I'm an online FPS addict. If Halo 2 didn't look so promising on Live, then I wouldn't give a shit about it.

I agree with DI, although i haven't played it...

It does look like the crappy 'gun-and-run-then-find-a-key' sort of game though. Much like 'Halo'.

But i am probably going to buy it, play it for a couple of days and take it back - just to see if the killings really do look realistic. Hmmm...

It looks like unreal 2 the awakening and the monster animations on that were PISH.And if they are souls from hell what about those Killed on the planet...dont they get possessed by those souls?Its confusing.And jacob it just how you feel about FPS.Obviosly you dont like them.Therefore doom 3 just spells ''S-H-I-T'' to you.But doom 3 isnt scary.In games with monsters and such and youre a guy with a gun and cool suits its just not scary now is it?If anyone has played the suffering youll know what I mean.Tis not a scary game if you have guns and the ability to turn into a monster now you do?But silent changes that.Guns r hard to get so its mainly close combat.

yeah......i was thinkin of renting Doom 3 for the X-Box when it comes out...........but i aint puttin no lame bullshit in my X-Box.

And the Multiplayer is crap,only 4 ppl online although they were sayin something bout a mod so it can hold 16 but i still dont give a shit bout Doom 3.

Good, mindless FPS games are too lacking these days. Tis' why I oftentimes enjoy loading up the mighty Doom shareware and slaughtering zombies in mass. Doom was meant to have a storyline, allowing pure, carefree chaos. w00t.

Though, I despise Doom II pretty much. It's supposed to Earth, but is really just a bunch of harder crap maps thrown together, using far too much brown/grey. Playing it makes me wish to return to The Silent Cartographer, but the mightiness that the enviroment was.
