Autistic Exorcism?

I was just watching this on TV.
An eight year old boy was killed by priest during an exocism. The boy was diagnosed with autism and the parents didn't know what they should do with their pathetic child. Naturally, being the mega-god-pods they are, they went to their local church for the answer. The priest (forgot his name) said autism is a type of demon and that the child is a vessel for satan. The priest layed down on the child as an exorcism procedure (or a chance to get close to a child, we may never know) and sufficated him to death with 350 pounds of blessed fat. The priest is now on trial for doing his "duty" rashly or something. What's the world coming to these days?

Apparently the trial has returned to the media with a vengeance. The 'procedure' was a result of a bible theo that had something to do with a messenger of christ falling on a mortal and cleaning him of his demons in the process of squishing him. I guess that particular priest was a complete dipshit. 70 pound kid VS 350 pound man. Place your bets....oh, too late.

This has happened before too. It makes me sick that instead of trying to help find a real cure for autism, freaks like this guy are trying to "exorcise" them. It pisses me off so much because my brother has autism.

You know what REALLY pisses me off? Creationists. People who think that the "Noah's Ark" scenario really happened.

They refuse to embrace the concept of evolution, even when the proof is layed down in front of them. They're freakin' diehards, it's pathetic.
We tell them that dinosaurs evolved into birds, right? We lay mounds of photos of fossils of dromaeosaurs with feather imprints around the bones, piles of papers that prove the connection.

"Well...yeah, well...uh...those are...um...those are forgeries."

Yeah, I bet. I'm sure every paleontologest in the world went off and glued feathers to the hundreds of new finds from china, just so they could lie to us.

I agree with most people here, have faith et al but when hard evidence is given to you, just accept it. It doesn't really disprove anything really does it?

Yes, I can't believe that a majority of radical Christians think that evolution is a big farce. Are they actually protesting that in some secret scientist society they have all come to an agreement that they should stage all evolutionary proof just to prove that they're right? Amazing. But if they believe half of the crap in the Bible, believing this is no surprise.

I think you may mean "aspergers" syndrome... it is actually quite common... on the spectrum scale of autism it isn't very high up there... many people with the disorder live very normal lives except they're extremely ordered and follow extreme patterns and routine... some are also "savants" (exceptionally gifted in an area... music maths memory etc) but that is quite rare.
