OW4 on PS2?!

I just read an article from a finnish game-place...thing... *ahem* saying that OW4 will be released on both PS2 on Xbox...

Here's the original article;

And here's a rough translation;

"EA has gained a worldwide publishing rights to the next Oddworld game. Oddworld Inhabitants are in charge for the desings for the upcoming game, the same company that has created the three previous Oddworld titles: Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus and Munch's Oddysee. The new OW game will be released on both PS2 and Xbox during the year 2005."

And the rest is just praising the game. And stuff...

So, could this be true or is it all just a rumour or the works of an misinformed reporter?

OWI official comfirmed that it will be on PS2 and XBOX but when they release the games 5 months later PS3 will be released and there will be an XBOX 2 can the games be played on these new platforms??

Where do you get the 5 months later on the PS3? Last estimate I heard was spring 2006 at the earliest as they're not going to end the cash flow of the PS2 too early. XBOX2 may very well come out in fall 2005 (though I doubt that too).

Isn't Stranger due out on both Winter/Spring 2005?

I think that the next genaration or the next A.L.I.V.E enigne will be PS3. Becuase OWi will have moe time making MO, and another Oddworld game( posslble Hand of Odd) you'll then have all 4 game's on Xbox, just like they said. But on Ploygon they said there's going to be another Stranger game, mabey on Xbox. When we get to Playstaion 3( Oddworld: Squeek's Oddysee) since it's realeased after Xbox2 & Camecube2, it should be the most Powerful console.Plus you can play AO & AE on PS3.

Wait, Stranger is going to be on PS2. Depens on the power of the consoles.

I think OWI being multi platform is a great idea!
so more people can enjoy their games, I hope OWI learned their lesson and won't go exclusive anymore
