Oddworld Inhabitants could have made much more moolah if they had released munch's oddysee for ps2. you know why? they could have made millions then, made a directors cut on xbox like all the other money grubbing corporate assholes do. some companies will have a game on all three systems. is that not to you trying to grab money? the xbox really is a superior system. the reason they switched is because they wanted the best quality game for the fans. i know that switch pissed a lot of people off but if ya dont like it go somewhere else.

I dont hate the 'Box' because I cant afford it, I cant afford a Ps2 right now, and I defenitly dont hate THAT. The reason why I dislike the Xbox is because of it's ME-TOO attitude. Companies like Nintendo and Sony and Sega were all we needed to satisfy our gaming needs. Microsoft could have done fine with it's monopoly on computers, and making COMPUTER games. As far as I can see, they wont be making any big strides in gaming or innovations. I work in a ToysRus and I have watched the teaser video many, many times, and I dont really see anything I already havent seen before. But games like ICO and Kenetica and the upcoming MGS2 and Devil May Cry all are very good, innovative games. The Xbox is just: 1. Stealing game from the competition using its billions, and 2. recycling computer games for use on itself. And to me the new Oddworld game was an example of the former.

Look at the advanced power and ease developers will have to create there games.Extra large HDTV anyone, how about 5.1 Dolby surround potential, how about games having much higher levels of A.I., graphics, textures,music,sound effects,atmospheric effects,in game speacial effects,larger sets and levels, all due to the power and innovation of XBOX and Microsoft.

Me-to attitude, what the Hell are you talking about? Microsoft, Nintendo, sony, all the same, no difference when it comes to that. Please there is no basis for that argument. It's a business first and foremost for all three. I own all three, at least as of November when my new systems get here.

ICO, great 8 hour experience, I loved it, but come on, no excuse for the lack of longevity.By the way Impala, get the facts before blowing B.S. around. Metal gear solid 2 will be coming to the XBOX in a directors cut version, original all the way. Capcom too will be coming this Spring with Devil may cry XBox version, new twists already in the works.

Microsoft could have done fine with it's monopoly on computers, and making COMPUTER games Impala states. So why not with consoles, Impala? what's wrong with having the choice of XBOX, Gamecube,and PS2.Options are a nice thing. As for XBOX, it is my number 1 choice. The others are fine, I like them but XBOX is by far the machine to have. Get over it.

If PS2 is your choice fine. But that gives you no right to bash a machine like XBOX. You don't care for it why, because as you stated you can not afford it and the games you have seen are not innovative, "hogwash".

As for innovation wait till you see the next-gen XBOX titles before you go blowing hot false air around.

XBOX and Oddworld is the essence of this Forum. The heart and soul. If you don't care for Oddworld or XBOX for whatever reasons "LEAVE HERE". Go to a place where you see more eye to eye with other people and topics. Why here, to bash and troll, bottomline.

you have always said you were neutral SS when it comes to which console is better. But your latest posts have said to me that you are pro X-Box all the way as you seem to vigeriously defend it whenever some one states their opinion about it. You are starting to be very mean sounding to other forum members and I don't like it. So what if people have different opinions about the X-Box? Its part of life. State your facts and let them decide, you don't have to be mean about it. Yes I am guessing you are just getting tired of all the X-Box bashing...heck I am sick of the near constant console bashing going around. It has gotten to the point that I hardly visit the General and Off-Topic sections anymore.
To me all the console bashing is senseless...as it (as Mr. Boj stated in a different topic on this subject) is the quality of the games that should matter...not which console they will be on.
And don't start with the 'X-Box be the obsolute best in everything' bit...as I don't care anymore. I have stated time and time again that I am going to wait to see how it(the X-Box) will do once it is available on the market. And that is exactly what I intend to do...

Oh and...this forum is for Oddworld. Just because it is coming out on the X-Box Doesn't mean it is an Oddworld and the X-box forum.
If we want to talk about the X-Box and the other consoles we can...but in the Off-Topic section.

You bet I'm pro XBOX. All the way. But that does not mean the other machines are not part of my gaming life. You don't see me bashing and being negative towards the other machines for any reason.

But when something I do care for whatever it is XBOX or anything else,gets attacked, I'll stand up for my beliefs and will not go the path of "Turn the other cheek".

The person that started this topic knew what they were doing, it's probably the same person who started the other Oddworld thrashing thread. If you want to stand by and get thrashed or just don't care enough fine, but do not tell me to turn my cheek. Sorry but Sharks are not made that way.

And Dragadon believe me I knew where you have stood on this issue for a long time, I know my friends, and I know where you stand. Fact of life: MUNCH and Oddworld are kissing cousins to XBOX. Now and for quite some time at least. Love it or leave it.

It's the same ones always that are ready to attack when ever possible against Oddworld and XBOX, any negative that pops up and there they are. It is very obvious, and I've decided to let them know that if you want to be negative, get ready for some Shark in your face. Hey Ron_Rancor: Fasten your seatbelt. News will be hitting on these two games in March and April. They are XBOX exclusives.I will just tell you that they are games with everything next-gen you can imagine. From A.I. to graphics, to effects, animation, atmospheric effects,sound effects, cutscenes,draw distance,lighting and shadows, sets that reach beyond any other ganes ever made by a long shot. Character and creature models of over 25.000 polys, which is far above the top end models of today. Lets say 5 times the models of the top games of this generation. Facial expression's will be taken into consideration,it just goes on and on with these games.

I have playtested and seen concepts and talked shop with the dev's from both games. I will be getting my debugger(XBOX in disguise actually) on Monday, these two games will be coming with it, well actually pieces of these two games.

The games are open-ended and 3rd person act/adv games with the originality of Munch the scope of Project Ego and the style of Matrix meets Da'Vinchi. Massive games that promise well over 100 hours of gaming.

Well I can go on forever, but I promise to give more details shortly to all interested.I have seen and know of all the top games coming for at least the next two years, yes even the top games still in concept form, these two are the ones to beat. Just keep them in mind. I'll talk,or write to you later.

Look guys, my whole point is, Exclusivity no longer has any import in this day and age. I love VIDEO GAMES, not only the consoles they come out on. BUT, sony and nintendo and sega have already shown their strength. You base all your hopes and dreams for future game playing in a system that for all intents and purposes, doesnt even exist yet, little man. I never said that I didn't like the box because I couldn't afford it, YOU said that.
I like the Ps2 because I've played the games, and played the demos for upcoming games. OH YEAH not to get anyone riled up, but you said that munch is coming to XBOX as an exclusive. My 'bullshit' theory goes NOWHERE. I said that first and formost, the reason why didn't like the xbox is cause they paid lots and lots of moolah to the developers of some games(of which microsoft seems to have a near unlimited supply)so they could have them as exclusive. Plus the fact that Oddworld owes thier recognition now to thier two-game stint on the playstation. But whatever, ok? I dont have to waste my time with a closeminded person like you, because their are more contsructive ways to use my time. Go and play your xbox, boy.

Munch's oddysey should be on both consoles.
It's pretty annoying that they put the 2 games on sony and computer and now there switching to x box. they could at least put it on computer. I don't have anything against the x box. Microsoft is a great company. But munch's oddysey could at least be on the playstation as well. If they made a slightly zoomed version for playstation they could fit a some more pixels in and make a zoomed version to the one on the x box, say if there was a big bro slig on x box and they just made a bigger version on playstation and it would come out just as detailed only bigger and the game could scroll, thats if it doesn't on x box(i have never played it). It's not that I can't afford an X box. I saved more than enough money in my bank account. I would by an X box but my parent's wont let me because I only just bought my PS1. The least oddworld could do is try or even make a short demo. Even if oddworld inhabitants made it a seven cd game and costed $150 dollars I would still buy that rather than buying a whole new console just for one game.
