If they are to count as posts, we might as well ditch blogs and just use threads. At which point we'll get pissed off at using threads as blogs and wish we had some kind of blogging system.
Even if all the good points made in the previous posts were ignored, it's impossible to count blog comments as posts. vBulletin simply doesn't support it.
Ditto with repping blogs and comments, unfortunately.

Ah, we are high school boys,
the miserable high school boys.
If we were girls, we could get popular by doing anything:
rock band, jazz band,
karate, kendo, mahjong, cyborg, synchronized swimming...
On the other hand, high school boys are
useless outside battle and sports anime.
But they're recklessly trying to make a slice-of-life anime about us.
Ah, we are high school boys,

Peter refuses to upgrade beyond the current version of vBulletin because (a) he doesn't like vBulletin 4.0 and (b) he's convinced himself that he can single-handedly develop fully-fledged forum software that will be completely backwards compatible with the existing forum data.

Even if he hates 4.0 (which works just fine since I've been using it for over year), there are newer versions for the 3.x series as well. Updated as far as 3.8.7 I believe.
This is like when someone asked why the Constitution of the United States doesn't count black folk as people, and Nate told them it just doesn't, that's why. Why are you always on the wrong side of history, Nate?

While the thread's still active, I have a question: What makes the "You must spread more rep before giving it to XXX again" appear? I'm confused because that happened with an user I haven't rep in a fairly long time
