Why don't blog comments count as posts? They should.
Why can't we rep blog posts?
We should.
If they are to count as posts, we might as well ditch blogs and just use threads. At which point we'll get pissed off at using threads as blogs and wish we had some kind of blogging system.
Blogs are an excuse to spam without getting told off.
Even if all the good points made in the previous posts were ignored, it's impossible to count blog comments as posts. vBulletin simply doesn't support it.
Ditto with repping blogs and comments, unfortunately. |
Bring forth the guillotine!
Is the blog system a third party plugin or a built in feature of vBulletin?
Built in feature of vBulletin.
EDIT: Never mind, I said something stupid.

There goes all my fun.

Peter refuses to upgrade beyond the current version of vBulletin because (a) he doesn't like vBulletin 4.0 and (b) he's convinced himself that he can single-handedly develop fully-fledged forum software that will be completely backwards compatible with the existing forum data.
How dreadful.
i don't like change. i hyperventilated when i logged on and found the rep squares had been changed to mudokon/glukkon heads.

Even if he hates 4.0 (which works just fine since I've been using it for over year), there are newer versions for the 3.x series as well. Updated as far as 3.8.7 I believe. |
It's more a matter of ethical objection to the vBulletin company. Or some shit.
So how long has he been working on his own forum?
Since at least OddTour 3, which was in 2008.
Has he ever showed anyone his progress?
:
... Oh, progress. No idea. |
This is like when someone asked why the Constitution of the United States doesn't count black folk as people, and Nate told them it just doesn't, that's why. Why are you always on the wrong side of history, Nate?
Why doesn't the Constitution of the United States count black folk as people?
Because the black man is twice the white man.
They count as 2 people. |
I think those old versions are vulnerable, not sure is it true but i know 1 forum that was exploited maybe it was and earlier version than they uprgraded to 4

While the thread's still active, I have a question: What makes the "You must spread more rep before giving it to XXX again" appear? I'm confused because that happened with an user I haven't rep in a fairly long time
