Ok, so yes, I am trying to make a fort out of obsidian and other stuff I can get my hands on. It's far from complete anyways.

Complete fail happened when me and Hulaabeo both saw the end being nothing but a very small platform of obsidian. Since we were stuck there, we had no choice but to fight to the death. Unexpectedly though, the fight came to a draw. We both died at the same time :/

If you want a good source of obsidian, you can cannibalize the record farm by the Arcane Hermitage. It was created to trap creepers and skeletons in holes, but their improved AI means they just walk around them, so it's pointless now.

Well, it's not exactly pointless. You can still trap them if you manage to hit them in there. I updated the obsidian field with wil's permission *READ BELOW THE PICTURES BEFORE YOU USE THEM*

Okay, first of all, leave all 4 doors open (so you can lure the creepers and skeletons easier without hassle). Put a skeleton in one pathway and a creeper in the next (Mind the skeleton hurting you in most of the process, and make sure to close the other side of the pathway so the mob doesn't escape) Knowing skeletons attack players at the maximum of 8 blocks, stand near the creeper until you saw the skeleton attack (you on accident or the creeper, and don't stand too close to it). The creeper will drop a record, but remember to watch out for the skeleton. Watch your health while doing this.

I might update this due to possible difficulty on closing the last door for the creeper on time. I'm going to for the skeletons as well once i have enough sticky pistons.

You could improve this by closing off the middle and sides with piston blocks so the skelly doesn't constantly shoot you. Then once both are in place you open the piston walls from the outside. To stop the mob from following too fast you could put a pressure plate and a piston in the trench. When you run over it the piston raises behind you and blocks the mob for a second or two.

Also, a few extra changes that I forgot to mention earlier.

1. Bed spawns are somehow broken and I have no idea how to fix it. In the meantime you can use /sethome to set your personal spawnpoint for when you die.

2. Monster spawns (per tick and total at one time) have been decreased to prevent hordes of mobs spawning in underground caverns. Please let me know if you find this prevents enough mobs spawning above ground or in general.

3. Animal spawns (per tick and total at one time) have been increased so there are more natural animals wandering around.

I would need 32-42 sitcky pistons to get the job for the middle and sides done, so it may take a while. Nngghh. I gonna have to need sticky pistons. normal pistons wont work outD:

I can just let the game regenerate a new end, including new dragon. But what happened to the old one?

If you ask me and Hulaabeo, we don't know. We went there just to get some endstone and ended up finding nothing but space and an obsidian platform.

A creeper or two blew up your animal farm again, they blew up part of my house as well, right when I make it amazing. Is there something on the server making them blow up in random spots because I was on my rooftop when they blew up...

It's strange. Mostly I don't light it up because I spend all the time building bits onto my house. And at the moment, I'm miles away from that area, and I found another huge cave with more diamonds.

And you didn't patch it either? Somebody's gonna pay for their death, AND I BLAME THE CREEPERS!

Apparently, someone decided to move into the Nilo Woods, and now there is a huge wool Blaze in the middle of it. I would turn to the appropriate institution that deals with such cases, but unfortunately we haven't built any yet.

It's fine, I didn't actually claim the area, and most of the forest is still there. But still, huge Blaze standing around is not what I expected upon my return to Casa de Nilo.
