Oh and I've no idea what the deal was with this cavity beneath the mudokon head, but I walked over it just now and found a nest of about 6 creepers and several zombies. Yes, it exploded. :S Shame I didn't have a bow on me or I would have saved the loot.

I always log in at the wrong height. I was in my mines and when relogged I found myself in someone else's huuge cave system - luckily it's lit, but I can't find a way out of it.

HELP?

Dig a stairway up until you reach the surface but beware of falling lava and gravel - Provided you have sticks and a work table you should be okay. Just don't dig directly up and be prepared to retreat.

I managed after much exploring to find the exit. It was Ridg3's cave.

And then I was attacked by zombies in my bedroom because my tree farm was too dark, and then I got blown up by a creeper when I went down to light it up.

And then when I logged in I was underwater beneath the ice and drowned.

That was my temporary shelter when i was building the Mudokon Face. wow, i created a monster spawner almost

I got in there because my mine goes underneath it, and half the time I log in at a different height to what I logged out at. It was a cave right beneath your house - not the one on the other side of the "Partially Unexplored Cave" door.

(I presume that apostrophe wasn't meant to be there) Goddamn. My mines are the opposite - on the right as I go deeper. In caves I just tend to place them randomly.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I'm making a cobblestone pathway from my mine to your house.

...IF I finish. It'll take a long time. Don't get your hopes up too high, it's in very early stages - And may look nothing like Rupture Farms actually does. If I end up abandoning the project I will let people know so that they can carry on where I left off if they want to, but until that time I'll be going this alone since I have designs and plans that are hard to put across to others (in other words, please don't work on this for me - You may disrupt what I have in mind. Feel free to suggest stuff though).

However, I don't plan to make an interior yet. After I finish the outside, maybe I'll want some help making the inside - I'm not THAT anti-social.

Okay okay, I've been persuaded by Dripik to let other people help me with this - And yeah perhaps I should be a bit more open.

To start with all I have planned is the front, which I'll start work on immediately - It'll be based loosely on this, and quite detailed, but not insanely so (minecraft's blocks are way too large):



The rest of the building will be planned as we go along I guess - Dripik says he'd like the interior to be based on the plans Splat made for the Oddworld RPG. Apparently they are orientated with the top of his map to be facing west on the minecraft map, if that makes sense.

Also to help you guys plan better, here's the grid I use:



And these are my plans for the MIDDLE OF the front so far (I wasn't thinking of this being the entire width of the building), I'm hoping the rest of the outside will be consistent with it - I want to get this far by today at least 'cause I'm insane, and maybe I can work out a way of curving the huge concrete front at the top somehow like on the FMVs:



It can be added to later, and we'll go from there, I guess. WE NEED MOAR STONE!1

I managed to log on without encountering huge lag today, so I have now established a base out near Scrabino's. I managed to get hopelessly lost, too. I think I slept in about 4 people's beds before finding my way back home.

RuptureFarms looks great, but the tower looks phallic when it's just on the horizon.

EDIT: I read Splat's plan. You should have storage minecarts full of pork going past on tracks for the conveyor belts.

Hmm, an automated track system with storage carts, representing barrels of product? Could work... And after the pistons are introduced, it would be even more awesome.
