Like all labels, it's designed to describe a group of people. "Social justice warriors" in itself does not sound very negative, although it's used as an insult, because there are a lot of people on the internet who just call other people bigots/racists/sexists even when, in my opinion, it's completely uncalled for.

Same goes for "regressive left", as those people usually identify themselves with left wing politics, and call themselves "progressive", sometimes not even understanding the basic concepts like free spech.

Like the insults of calling someone a faggot or autist, they're almost never comments about what those words actually meant, they're used haphazardly because they have a crisp sound to them, and they immediately get across "this means something negative".

How hypocritical. Fighting for ones own sense of personal justice, using the buzzword of "censorship!!!11!" to vehemently defend a moot point. That sounds like Social Justice Warriors to me. Blizzards replacement pose even enforces my reason for irritation, they're not being censored and never were.

The term is an insult now, and those using it are generally absentminded to how hypocritical it is. But I'll agree, SJW's are the most annoying cunts I'll ever have to silently listen to over the internet.
