If anyone's available anytime today or tommorrow, I need a little help with the Stronghold Excavation. If you can help, bring all the TNT/gunpowder you have.

You gonna blow it up after you find it or something?

I think he intends to blow up the entire desert in which he believes a stronghold can be found.

So we spent a lot of time dicking around on the server today. I think there was something about a recording at one point, too.

I'm fairly sure Chris and/or Alexfili took some recordings of us assing around and annoying Ed while he was trying to shoot the boardroom scene. Afterwards we went and played Spleef, explored the crypt and had a snowball fight. It was all jolly good fun.

The snowball fight kind of turned into an egg fight and now Exoddus is full of chickens.

Finally, after a long search, we have found the stronghold! Unfortunately, it was too small to harbour an enderportal, so I suppose it can be considered a waste of time. I have come to call it Deception because I thought the dungeon inside was the enderportal room.

I suggest we should look in Exoddus for a larger stronghold.

It was literally two corridors and three rooms, one of which was a skeleton dungeon and so not part of the stronghold. I harvested it for materials and didn't get two stacks of cracked stone bricks.

What? They're procedurally generated. I've never heard of one without a portal room before, though. It probably had trouble generating it given we'd explored the surrounding area fairly well.

Maybe someone placed a skeleton dungeon on the portal room. I've heard of abandoned Mineshafts cutting through a portal room and half-destroying the portal.

I was a bit puzzled 'cus when I've used ender eyes in SSP they've flown directly at the portal, so I thought that as the eyes went towards it, there must be one. My bad.

I have some bad news. Since the biomes were messed up a few times, I've done some experimenting. I've been playing around with the original (I had a screenshot of it) and current seeds in Ma'spa. In both seeds I've tried finding a stronghold. Ender Eyes in both worlds lead to two places near each other in our current multiplayer world - A place where, in Multiplayer, the seeds have corrupted and chunks have overwritten each other. This explains why you only found two corridors and no portal.

In single player, I went as far away as 4000 squares in both X and Y in our current seed. The ender eyes still lead me to the same spot - Which is weird because there are supposed to be 3 strongholds per world.

I'm passionate about this for the sake of us having fun together on the Minecraft server. Without a Stronghold, we can't go raiding the dragon together. We have four options:

1) I spend some time for you guys adding more corridors and rooms, including a fake ender portal room to my fake stronghold, mimicking a real one and basing it on the one we lost. That'll take the fun out of finding it though since you already all know where my fake stronghold is, but you will still have fun exploring it. It will take me a long time and it will have to wait until I'm done with the RF movie. I don't know how much you guys care about this issue, so there may be not much point.

EDIT: Also after you come across the portal room and finish filling the frame with Ender Eyes, it won't work unless someone spawns in "ender portal" chunks.

2) We start Ma'spa again and use MC edit to transfer the central chunk across to a new world. Means lots of messing about getting the portals and worlds working again.

3) A long-shot. When the seed got corrupted and changed to a snow biome, did anyone F3 and take a screenshot of the seed? Does anyone have a record of what the seed changed to? Perhaps a stronghold spawned then, and perhaps it exists in our current multilayer world.

4) Havoc uses the Stargates to create yet another world to find a stronghold in. One of us uses creative mode immediately to locate it and spawn the chunk where it will appear in, to prevent this from happening again.

I have a question. I had 14 blocks of diamond in my possession, stored in my Exoddus house. Now I don't have 14 blocks of diamond in there. Would anyone care to tell me where they went?

I fear that if you were to make a sprawling underground stronghold it'd interfere with the more mundane underground happenings around Ma'Spa. I like option 2 but saying that it wouldn't be me who'd have to do all the technical witchcraft.

If you could do it, I say we do option 2. Then again is a Stronghold really worth it?

Stronghold = End

Sorry if anyone turned up expecting the burning of the enderman last night; there are midly complicated reasons why I wasn't online until after midnight (actually the last 40 minutes was 'cus of QI on Dave) and therefore couldn't make it. You get one more day to bask in awe of Christmas Enderman; hopefully I'll be able to get on tonight.

Oh yeah we have an option 5 as far as strongholds are concerned: I poke Havoc to hand me the map, then I patch in the chunk where the Stronghold is meant to be using MC edit. Or he can do it. That way we wouldn't even need a map change.

Give me a poke on Steam when the Christmas Ender burning is meant to commence.

Ma'Spa is so messy with broken chunks and broken biomes... I wouldn't mind just moving the things we've made into a whole new world.

Thanks for filming, Edd.
