Right, let’s see if I can kill this thread again… with these photos I took yesterday.

This is the family computer, distinguished from all other computers in the house by the unique ability of its to connect to the Internet. It’s through this that I am talking to you now, and do other cool stuff like learn languages and play online Scrabble at 4:30 a.m. In the photo it is decorated by a textbook on phonetics and phonology, a congratulatory card re my A-Level results, and a ten-year-old laptop we’re attempting to salvage
à la The Laptop Guy.

This is where I watch t3h
Stargate SG-1. zOMG Tiel’c!

This is my personal personal computer. This picture was taken in February, when it was new and shiney and not dusty. Please do
not take note of the perilously large collection of
The Simpsons merchandise to the right—it is merely the result of all those birthdays and Christmases where I obviously forgot to put enough decent stuff on my wishlists.

The computer desk currently, in an unusually tidy condition. Dust covers FTW!

The view from my bedroom window overlooking our garden, with one of the least ugly council estates I’ve come across in the background. I think it’s a fairly pretty view, but you will doubtless be more enthralled by my seamless Photoshopping.

My personal settee. Currently it is occupied by things I’m gathering to take to uni. The books are mostly computer language textbooks and English language style guides.

My custom-built wardrobe and bookshelves. On the far left are PC and Xbox games and my fledgling collection of
NewScientist and
Fortean Times magazines. The main shelves house, from left to right, on the top shelf: comedy, Douglas Adams,
Red Dwarf; on the middle shelf: forteana, sci-fi, general fiction,
The Simpsons, language reference; on the bottom shelf: culture, history, science, mathematics.
EDIT: edited because apparently PHP isn’t supported in posts. >.<
EDIT II: I’ve just noticed the cat sleeping under the computer desk in the top picture.

His name is Simpson.
