Very awesome. I'd plus rep you but it won't let me. However, perhaps the tentacles from the original slig skin ought to be kept for the improved version, they look a bit odd when spread out like that.

I wonder who made the first slig skin though.

Ah yeah I think the same about the tentacles. I'll change it now, and I think I still owe you some rep that it wouldn't let me give. Apparently I have to 'Spread some around' first.

I have a different idea for the slig structure, which I'll try to post tomorrow. I'm too shit at art to be doing anything final, though.

The Abe looks good, but the body is too murky. I think the whole thing should be the colour of the forehead.

Respectively, I think his body should still be darker than his head, but I think I might tone it up a bit.

Wow guys, this is really amazing, I can't wait to see the finished cut scene, I had an idea for you though DH, in the scene were the graph shows profits falling, and you had to leave it like that for the mudokon pops screen, perhaps there could be a hidden lever attached to pistons that push down a new layer in front with a mudokon pops poster/wool pixel art, like the curtains at a theatre.

Nah, I'll just replace the wool for each scene. Not only would it be easier, but I wouldn't have to spend ages getting the circuitry right - It'd take up the entire building too. Sure, the board can't be changed in the middle of a scene but I don't want to spend that much effort for just a tiny bit of accurate portrayal considering RF is so full of inconsistencies anyway.

I have designs done in MS paint that me and perhaps someone else can copy from, and with creative mode it'll be quite easy. Although when we film it we may be waiting around a little bit for it to be done - shouldn't take so long, though.

Those skins are pretty good actually. Pure black should generally be avoided, though, and they probably shouldn’t be symmetrical—the light would almost certainly hit each side of the body differently, and so the shading would be different. I’d also make the Mudokons’ pupils both point toward the centre. And the Mudokons don’t appear to have mouths.

I started editing one but textures confuse me the hell out and I’m half asleep.

There are plenty of programs that give you area labels and 3D representations of your skin as you draw.

I would have to make the mudokon eyes 3x3 in order to have the pupils centered. That, imo is too big.

Probably not. Most of them are just simple painting programs.

Nova Skin lets you draw directly onto the model and has full layer support, and has all the tools of MSPaint, plus Burn and Dodge equivalents.

Plus it's online, with a massive part library.

No antialiased brushes though.

If you're the one recording, then I suggest editing your 'kz.png' to pictures of the MeechMunchies/Paramite Pies etc posters.
... So I did, and created 5 mini texture packs, one of which I've attached to this post. If people apply the texture pack and walk into the RF boardroom now (I've made a temp ladder up to it and a trapdoor at the bottom for a quick exit), they'll see the following. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

And for the part where Abe walks by each poster I made them slightly larger but I had to utilise four paintings because no paintings existed that were three squares wide - Getting them lined up was a pain. Still, all I need to do to change them is switch texture packs during filming.

Oh and to make them glow, you can back them with glowstone.

I'm also thinking of doing something similar for the big projector screen within the boardroom instead of using wool, but that'd mean creating custom graphics similar to what's shown on the screen since Mullock and the Slig stand in the way, so I can't screencap from the FMV.

EDIT: And don't ask me how I did this, it was a pain in the arse. This might give some clue though:

Now to create the rest of the needed graphics. Shame there's no way of changing texture packs mid-shot.

Yeah I've looked - Minecraft doesn't seem to work that way. No matter though, I'll just change them between shots.

Anyway, even if there is a mod that lets you do that, mods don't work on multiplayer.

Plus, a mod to change texture packs would be client-side.

Looks like a cheap rip-off of what's been built on the OWF Minecraft server.

There's more than one way of doing stuff - If you looked at the designs from Abe's Oddysee and came to your own conclusions on how to represent them in Minecraft, rather than copy what I've designed, maybe I wouldn't be so irritated.

But whatever - At least you won't be doing what I plan to do with mine. And good luck with the tedium of building the thing, not many people have the patience.

I don't get notified when I get messages in YouTube. People from the WoW community keep spamming me with angry messages because I moderate comments on my WoW videos. I've only just noticed your messages. I'll respond to you here:

1) No thank you, I don't want to join your server - I can't speak Spanish, but even if I did I don't have the time. Any time spent playing Minecraft is dedicated to playing with the people from these forums on our own server.

2) I've invested a lot of time and effort into existing projects on our server and I'm not about to start again somewhere else. Also people have spent a lot of time and effort helping me - I'm not about to throw that away either.

3) If you wish to help, become a contributing and well-known member of these Oddworld Forums, then maybe after a time you'll be allowed on the server. Don't do this just to be a part of the server though, it won't work.

4) If you can wait long enough I plan to release a map download once the Rupture Farms project is finished, but I don't know how long that will be.

Well, I'm pretty sad just pretended that the Spanish community, he does not know this game looked a bit by the clear, all efforts are yours forever dire thing, you're a great designer I admire you, forgive me again if you waste time hize you can not waste, not intended for anything that this happened, only that the Spanish community (which ignores this great game), to follow him a little ...

Once someone comes up with some decent Glukkon skins, we can finally film the boardroom scene.

Other than that I've been working on getting RF ready for the other parts of the AO intro movie.
