(Edited since it's not worth having a nerd rage over this crap even though it does annoy the hell out of me)
I logged on about 45 minutes ago to find a large pile of lava in the middle of the river with a sign warning that "More will be coming, you have been warned". When I got rid of it, it left this hole in the water:
This took me about half an hour to repair and get rid of the whirlpools, because everyone knows just how crap Minecraft's water physics are.
Listen dude: Leaving cryptic messages in people's homes and then having more signs in a cave telling a story - That was clever, and created a mystery. Leaving huge piles of lava everywhere - That's not clever or creative. That just pisses people off.
If you accidentally burn down someone's house for the sake of failing to create a mystery, what would you have achieved?
Oh and you owe Splat a large section of fence. You caught his melon farm on fire - I put it out after I logged on.
(And seriously. Cthulu? Overused cliché much?)
