I was thinking about exactly this recently. I was watching a few videos of Coe's Adventures in MC, and I realised how different it used to be a couple of updates before. Then I saw the oldschool chest, and a pang of nostalgia hit me. I miss the old chests...
I do too. I wish they were the same size but still opened. I also wished they stopped adding so many Biomes. I hate the Mooshroom one, Notch must of been high or something.
I had an idea ever since we hit beta that the game should have a Classic gamemode. You can play Minecraft back when the game was in Alpha. I miss it dearly...
I managed to enter The End world and the Enderdragon is FUCKING AMAZING! Its a boss fight.
You have to shoot all of these Ender Crystals ontop of the Obsidian Towers because the Dragon uses them to heal himself, after that you start to kill him. I've done it on Creative Mode but its defently possible to do on Survival.
After you kill the Enderdragon, It drops so many EXP Orbs, a portal appears, and ontop of it is a Dragon Egg, its meant to be very important but I don't think it has a current use. When you enter the Portal, The ending credits and a really complex, confusing poem about you as a player and the Minecraft world scrolls across the screen, After they you leave The End and spawn back at your Spawn point in the Overworld.
Pretty awesome stuff, I guess we know why its called The End
Apparently, there was a sneak Sound Update. Chests, doors, fishing poles and some other stuff have new sounds, along with some mob sounds which are not implemented yet, but they are there.
The new sounds are neat! There are some others not present in 1.8.2/The Sound Update, too, which you can hear if you download, fuck yes, Release Candidate 2.
I LOVE the chest sounds, and the eating ones aren’t half bad either.
I like that doors sound less like getting kicked in the ear now. Gonna take a bit of time to get used to it, though. Also, I was in my mine at Exoddus and I could hear a lot of spiders and maybe some skeletons in a cave above me, and they or something with them was making a sound like a pick hitting rock; it was pretty weird.
I (fortunately, 'cus it sounded pretty full) never broke into that cave so, yes, it could have been Herobrine.
Shame. I didn't download anything and suddenly, everything sounds different.
Also, I nearly lost the memory of getting lost in an endless tunnel system and getting blown up by a creeper, with the last thing I see before re-spawn being all my mined goodies and equipment being taken away by a random stream of water into the depths of darkness. Yesterday, it all came back.
