Isn't Paramonia meant to be very 'natural'? If there are built structures there, they're all made from raw wood (logs). They're not shaped, just straight-from-the-tree branches.
I love that Paramonia is Earth-like. I always saw the structures in Paramonia as being like Indian root bridges, where people have cultivated tree roots to grow to form paths over hundreds of years. They're literally just root with soil on top.



Both screens look great to me. Perhaps Paramonia looks a little cleaner now and less dense, and the trees seem a tad more like oriental pines as opposed to the cone-shaped conifers of the original.

Can't wait to see more! The original really gives you a sense of being lost amongst a dark, dense forest, I really hope that remains true. Great to see Elum and the slog too

Somehow the picture you posted looks a thousand times more how I remember Paramonia then the new screenshot just released with the article. Those root bridges are way more fitting than that clean rock path.

Now I know we only saw one screen and the rest could be different, I know.

That can't look like Paramonia because you can see the ground.

I would be disappointed if we don't see the wooden platforms returning with a dull coating of thick, furry moss.

The reason that looks more like Paramonia than the NnT screenshot is because that’s exactly how the platform originally looked.

There’s strong resemblance to a fallen or uprooted tree in the original version, compared to the more solid rock platform in the NnT version.

That said, I think judging the entire aesthetic of the new Paramonia based on a single screenshot is a bad idea. It’s pretty likely there is still a lot of tree roots and mouldy wooden structures in NnT, and the area in the screenshot was redesigned for a specific reason.

I notice we don't see the temple in the background anymore. I'm not sure it's a bad thing but it makes me wonder why they decided to change that.

My guess (rather a long shot) is that it'll slowly zoom as you progress trough the levels

I took that picture I just posted. Not the other one. If a flash was used you wouldn't see the picture properly, not just change the colouring of the picture

Then I'll say that the other colors (characters' colors for example) are quite true to what we've seen in the game trailer, so you're probably wrong.

That would be because there’s crossover between color spaces.



Just because some colors look similar doesn’t mean the entire image color is accurate.
