I'd take the one ring, but it doesn't say anything about actually controlling its power. It just says it won't corrupt you. You still have a good chance of getting stabbed by ring wraiths or something.

But then again... You can turn invisible with it...

Fuck it. I'm taking the ring.

Of all superpowers, invisibility must surely be the most corrupting.

I can only ever imagine using invisibility for generally evil/sleazy purposes.

I'd use it to survive being shot by lasers that use the visible spectrum.

You could use it for self defense. Hard to hit a guy you can't see.

On the other hand, an episode of the X Files starts off with a guy wishing for invisibility off a genie and loving it for all of five minutes before he gets hit by a car.

I NEED TO SPREAD REP AROUND BEFORE I +REP YOU AGAIN.

I actually laughed at that more than I'd usually be prepared to admit to myself.

I'm torn between the pillow and the pill. Probably gonna use the pill to reincarnate as the sexiest female alive and make huge piles of money by having sex with guys everywhere. And it doubles my lifespan, which is kinda cool.

I've been considering this one for a while, and I realised that all of them will make you want the other ones. I can just see myself sitting on that toilet and thinking "well fuck, I wish I'd taken the ring".

I see far too many flaws in the pill to take that. Not all deaths being predictable, have to take it when you're going to die, all memories upon birth could be horrendously disturbing... You get the idea.

Actually all things considered, I think I'd take the bath robe. Most inconspicuous, most stylish without being taken away from me for being a weapon, and also freaking awesome. Manipulating water gives you control over all life too, you know. You can do both beautiful and destructive things with that power. And, you know, it's going to be a lot easier to keep hold of the bath robe than it is to keep hold of the suit or mech.

Could argue a lot of the same things for the ring, but other people have brought up good arguments for not taking it too. Invisibility is corrupting, ring wraiths, plus rings are pretty easy to lose. And I sort of know what I'm getting with the bath robe: far as I know the ring doesn't have fully documented power.
