Wasn't it absinthe that Van Gogh was drinking before he cut his ear off? *headscratch* Contains wormwood, or something, which is hallucinogenic. I think it was legalised again or something when I was in my first year at Uni, so there were absinthe parties across campus - the smell put me off. :P

I drink a little, but I don't hugely like the taste of alcohol, and usually end up as a prop for my falling-over friends if we go out. :P That's about it, aside from caffeine.

I'm fairly ambiguous about most other drugs - if a person wants to do it, well, it's their life, they can find out about the risks as easy as I can and if they still want to use them, well... *shrugs* I just don't like the fallout from it - the theft and the violence feeding the trade. The only thing I particularly don't like is cigarettes and their like - and then only if someone lights up right next to me without asking if I mind, what they do in the privacy of their own home is up to them. "If I wanted your second-hand bad-smelling cancer-smoke in my face, I'd ask, thanks." Mind you, if they DO ask if I mind, I'm usually a mug and say "nah, go ahead". So... yeah.

And Frank is over-rated.

I haven't had a drink, smoke, or drugs of any kind...and I don't have the desire to do so in the future. That's just me.

Well, being homeschooled doesn't really put me in an environment where I'm pressured a lot. Though, I'm sure I'll have the same preference out in zee real world.

Really though, I just don't see me wanting to do any of that stuff. My family has a history alcoholics, smoking is pretty much paying to screw up your lungs, and drugs kill brain cells I'd like to keep. I don't care how many people are doing it...that's still the way I'm going to feel about it.

-oddguy
That's pretty much the way I feel about drugs/smoking etc. Though, that's partly because I like to have my wits about me at all times.

Musing:...Absinthe... What is so great about absinthe? Everyone, and I do mean everyone, are hyping about absinthe. As for me, I really don't see the greatness in this yucky green drink. Eck ;(
First of all, it tastes like shite. Period.
It's very pricy too; 45 euros per bottle. Nu-uh.
And you get a horrible hangover from drinking it.

Anyway...
Meh...
I smoke, I drink beer/ anything with alcohol in it, 'cept Campari--which tastes like shite-- +weed. Mmmm... weeeeed...*drool*
Shit. Where the funk did you come from!

Yeah all booze is good. Gotta get a mate to hook me up with a joint too sometime. Life is gooooood!

It shall forever remain a mystery mein friend (imagine that the word 'friend' is in german! Hii-ho!)

You must've noticed that I've stopped using MSN looong time ago

Anyway, there's too little of that hallucinogenic stuff in absinthe for it to actually affect you. You'd have to drink so damn much of that stuff that after that you really wouldn't even know if the whatcamacallit-hallucinogenic-shite even works...funny thing really.
AND--H; The "absinthe" you can buy here in Finland only tastes like "the real absinthe". So basically the crud over here is just absinthe flavoured vodka.
Hurrah.

Whoa, man! I've always dreamed of liquid marijuana... I would love to have a bottle of that, just to have it. Anyway, one day I will make a drink composed entirely of cannibus (and maybe some weird teas).

I can't really say I'm all for 'if people want to do it they can do it'. I mean, I'm not going to stop anyone, but my social activities with anyone drop very quickly if they become a stoner. I just can't stand talking to them. I hate the way of thinking that goes with it.

I don't particularly like the smell of Weed, t'is rather foul.

Did some Absinthe on my birthday night out. Not the shockingly high % shtuffs, but t'was moderatly high. 50%. I had two. I wasn't too bad actually. More bitchy than usual. And Homophobic. One part in particular that was amusing was when these Hetties were kissing, and i went "Euck!! LESBIANS!! DYKES!! EWWWW!!" and the guy was all "I'm a guy!" and started laughing, so i laughed...then gave them a mass of abuse.

They walked off.

Shame.

Define this stereotype, this "way of thinking" thing that goes with being a stoner... It confuses me.

Personally I don't do a lot of thinking when I'm stoned. My sober feelings on actually doing the drug is that anyone who is against it is merely attempting to be a killjoy, and anyone who is against it but smokes cigarrettes or drinks alcohol is a pure hypocrite asshole. It isn't life threatening, isn't really that bad for you unless you mix it with tobacco or are prone to mental illness, and makes you feel a million bucks, so why the heck not?

That's a total sterotype. First off, not everyone who smokes pot does that. Second of all, if someones stoned, they know they're being retarded. It just that since pot makes you dumb, stupid stuff amuses and interests you. So if you say something you think is profound, it's another 20 minutes of stupid joy thinking about it. So chill, and let us have our fun.

Hmm, that could've been someone elses quote?

Honestly, I don't care about people who use pot to make them feel better, I know I don't need it to make me feel better. I have friends. I laugh with them I feel better.

Heh, last Saturday, I was getting drunk again, with some friends, and eventually, we went for a walk, because on of them guys "let one fly", and it smelled horribly. So we was walking down the street, when one of us spotted a friend of his. So we went to him. So we were talking to this guy, when one of them asked me something. I didn't "register" the question 'till a couple of secs later. So I turned to answer him, he was friggin' asleep in the bushes behind me! So we had to drag his (and our) drunk ass back to his place, where we laughed about it, and had another. Darn, that was teh funnehst thing...

I've found, like Fax, that stoners tend to fall into a very similar stereotype to eachother. They do tend to be the high school drop outs, and people you'd bet your house on being homeless in the immediate future.

However, that being said, the stoners I know don't fall so much in that stereotype. Either they have some sense, or I've been around them so long that I'm oblivious to it

Alcar...

i would say there is a stereotype for stoners for good reason. that's because weed doesn't make you any smarter than you were before. if you have intelligent people sit down and get high, it's quite interesting.

last week, on vacation, i got pissed quite a bit with these two kids from manchester. it was good times.

I love Manchester as well, hopefully i'll be going to Uni there.

Last night i went out with £20 on me. And i didn't drink a drop of alkohol. How hardcore am i? Oh yes, very. T'was a really crap pub though, filled with volatile, filthy, scruffy Muffies. Euck.

So me and my friend (who was also having a crap time) decided to have a wander around Hull. Hijinks abound!
