The only time it was ever as good as it could have been was the music video. Also yeah,
dat ending
Since Josh can get away with it, I might as well briefly pop in and say I'm currently watching...
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha: A serious and engaging look at medieval economics in a fantasy kingdom with some nice characters. The adaptation is lacking somewhat from the source material but it's fairly charming.
Kotoura-san: A dark comedy/drama about a girl who can read minds and discovered from an early age that it's not as good as it sounds. Seriously good.
Magi: An arabian nights style fantasy tale coupled with well done political intrigue. It started off fairly shaky, but it's shaping up to be something great with a huge cast of colorful characters. Has a unfortunate tendency to have mustache twirling giggling bug eyed uglies as villains though.
Robotic;Notes: A robotics high-school club in the near future discover a global conspiracy maybe. Very... complete feeling and satisfying to watch.
Senran Kagura: A guilty pleasure show about a team of high school ninjas with large breasts that fight evil. It's fun. Also where my sig is from.
Vividred Operations:
currently my guiltiest pleasure.
From my backlog I'm also watching Gankutsuou, a surreal sci-fi adaptation of Count of Monte Cristo that manages to be very good and surprisingly faithhful, and Gunbuster, a very old show from the creators of NGE that is so goddamn earnest it's very endearing.
Also people here will be more interested to know I bought and will watch Moonrise Kingdom tomorrow. I plan to buy Rushmore sometime soon too. I like this director more than I thought I would.
