Eat me, Death. I've had it with your crap. And you bragging about your post count to ME is pathetic. I've got nearly 200 more posts than you and I've been here 3 times as long as you. And I'm not even close to being number 1. There are people on this board that have 3 times as many posts as you and me COMBINED.
|
Yeah, and your point is? You still haven't answered my question, you've just avoided it by pretending that I was trying to show off my postcount. In truth, I don't give a piss about how many posts I have. My argument is that it shouldn't matter what postcount you have.
So I will ask you again; what is it that makes you think a senior member or staff member somehow deserves more respect than any other member?
I could easily be classed as a senior member. So why aren't you giving me some kind of sacred respect? Because I'm less senior than you? Is that it? You feel that post count somehow makes you more important?
:
Also, if you accuse me of being a guy who slavers for rank and attemps to up my post count at every opportunity why do you post nearly 300% more frequently than I do?
|
Just because I am an active member doesn't automatically mean I must be posting nothing but content-free spam in long forgotten threads to boost up my post count. My post frequency tells you how often I post, not the quality of what I post. I post in threads that interest me. I give my opinions, relivant information, and generally exchange my views on the subject. I strive to add content in each and every one of my posts.
You however, seem to have a track record of re-awakening old, long forgotten threads. I know this to be fact, because I still have a subscription to many of these old threads, and get sent an email each time you post in one.
I got 1 email every 2.5 seconds approximately, on one occasion. It was you doing a whole post bombing around a bunch of old threads.

Oooh, gotcha there. And don't pawn it off as dedication, you double post like a fiend.
|
I've double posted, ooo lets see, about 5 or 6 times since I first joined. If I really was, as you say, to pawn it off as dedication, then it'd be one hell of a claim. But not quite in the way you'd be hoping for. 5 or 6 double posts in some 9 months is hardly dedication. Out of 500 posts, 5 double posts makes up just 1:100th of my entire posting here at OWF. Now I thought you were the one who found people nitpicking over tiny details annoying?
:
You started the argument by being a pussy. You complained because someone said to the effect, "You know what? I don't like techno or dance music that much." If I posted a link to the new De La Rocha song and someone said it wasn't their bag I wouldn't be a little lamo about it and have a hissy fit.
|
It wasn't to that "effect". It was "Eww, dance music". Whether it was opinion or not, that doesn't matter, it still added no content, and it did so in a rude manner. What compells you to post in a thread that has something you don't like in it, and at the same time carry off a rude tone? Do you just HAVE to do it? Do you feel like if you don't express your opinions at every oppertunity, something bad will happen?
The "argument" is over. It started with differing views on what is acceptable and what isn't. Don't talk to me as though my views are wrong and somehow make me a "pussy". I don't give a shit if you don't like techno or dance music, niether does anyone else, so don't be so stuck up yourself to think anyone will even care enough, to justify you expressing your sacred opinions.
Before you post, try and decide whether anyone will care. If you come to the conclusion that nobody will care, then don't post it. This counts for opinions too.
I'm not asking people to not give their opinions, and do as I say when I say. I'm just suggesting people moderate their behaviour a bit more, and try to stay realistic on what people will want to read. We've got to think of others rather than be selfish all the time. I'm tired of others disregarding all content and just posting four or five words about how they do or don't like something/someone. I am also tired of people excersizing what they see as their "god given rights", just because they can. A prime example being a young girl at miami airport, making a joke about a bomb.
