I'm heterosexual and I don't understand what you found sickening... Are you sickened by homosexuality, is that it? I know you explained this in another topic, but I still don't see why...

And Chris... Remember, you are straight. You have always said it when asked. Have you changed your sexual status? Because I'm starting to think you only make references to your homosexuality to startle people, or sound groundbreaking.

Btw, Tom! I was to marry Dan! How dare you jump on that bandwagon????

Indoctrinating children into Homophobia? What kind of sick area do you live in? I'm glad I don't live there, wherever it is...

LOL. Are you serious? I for one, dislike homophobic people because they often cause suffering. Thankfully, such people are becoming more and more unfashionable, so their voices of hate and intolerance are getting more and more faint. Homophobes are on par with racists.

Harassment, beatings, discrimination, etc all due to their sexual orinentation.
Of course I am not accusing you of doing these things Surf, I am just stating what has been done to bis and homos for their sexual orinentation. And due to these things, homos and bis tend to be cautious around proclaimed homophobes.

Back on topic...I did have a boyfriend (and I believe he came close to proposing), but due to a rather long long distance relationship due to him moving over seas for a job we broke up, it just got to be too much.

Edit: Doh! Syd you beat me to it. Oh well...anyway if I offended anyone...I apologize.

Surf, homophobia is a hateful and bigoted way of thinking. It is prejudiced, it is horrible to hate/fear someone just because they have a different sexual status. Don't you see that it is up there with racism? It's discrimination, and it can cause suffering and depression for homosexuals who are taunted and abused in a homophobic world. And when you say "What have they ever done to you?" remember, Dan is bisexual. Any way, even if they haven't done any thing to him, we still have reason to dislike homophobia. And, no, I am not attacking you in case you think I am. I am just telling you why homophobia isn't a good thing, and that there are reasons to be against it.

No syd my parents are not homophobic ( i really don't like following in my parents foot steps) I already explained this i'm homophobic, meaning i fear gays more than hate them, infact i don't actual really hate them at all. So you dislike homophobic people huh? well i guess you do not like me, though i personally have nothing againest you.

P.S like my new avatar?

I wasn't planning on dignifying this with an answer, but other people already have...

Asking "Why do you hate Homophobes?" is totally missing the point. What you should be asking is "Why do Homophobes hate Homosexuals?". You may ask what the difference is between Homophobes hating Homosexuals and Reasonable People hating Homophobes, but then, if Homophobes stopped hating Homosexuals, then Reasonable People would stop hating Homophobes. This does not work in vice versa...

You may as well ask someone why they hate racists, or sexists, or Nazis... Or am I making a false assumption about you here?

EDIT: I have no real opinions about your avatar, Leon...

EDIT 2: I do, Tom!
