I'm going to apologise for some of the things I said as well. Looking back over my old posts; I can see that some of the things I said about the XBox were very babyish, and on mature reflection I take them back. I don't hate the XBox anymore (it was silly really to hate an inanimate object in the first place). Sony's consoles always have been and always will be my weapons of choice, but I think there can be room in my life for all the uberconsoles.
I was really cross when I discvered that MO and a lot of the other Odd games were Box exclusive, but I've got over it now. There's no point in being angry about it, because it won't change anything.
We all get defensive about things we like, and I'm very sorry if I've ever said anything in favour of my beliefs that has upset or offended anyone; I hate making people upset; it's so gutting.
Steel Shark, yes, the Box is a great console; I realise that now. And I want to get one (if I can find a place to put it; it seems as though every socket in the house is in use). But I came to realise that through my own accord; by doing research of my own; not through your preachings. Your gung-ho attitude actually diescouraged me from wanting one.
Your faithfulness to one console is quite touching in a strange way; but behaving as you did will only alienate people and make them think that you have your head up your arse.
If someone says something stupid, then it's almost an automatic reaction to correct them; I appreciate that. But ranting when people state their opinions or merely criticise the Box will only make people think less of you, and can even upset them. Gentle guidance does no harm.
I have read many posts made by everyone who has conributed to this topic, and I know you are all very nice people when you want to be. Let's all try and keep it that way.
