However, it's such a subtle EQ that it's barely noticeable to the average listener.
The reason you think it sounds different is because of the way songs were recorded back then, not just the fact that you're playing it back through vinyl.

That's not true. According to the Oddworld.com article the soundtrack contains remastering of the New'n'Tasty tracks and remixing of the AO tracks. It's more than a stupid cut and paste, OWI poured some additional time, money and care into this.

Exactly, with very few exceptions, like re-releases of stuff recorded with analog means instead of digital instruments, which even though I like most of the series' soundtracks in general, wouldn't really use the vinyl that much, it would sound pretty much like playing the digital version of the track.

Unless they somehow miraculously captured all of that ambience with analog equipment.

I think we need to go back to Manco's point again. The audio for the vinyl will not be any different from the regular digital stuff, except for some degradation of quality, because the tracks were digital before analog.

That being said I am still 100% in support of this vinyl and will be purchasing it.

I will be getting the vinyl. But common - No Flac?? MP3 & vinyl are both lossy (Vinyl is pressed from lossless sure, but 'lovely retro clicks and pops' aren't exactly lossless).

Sure, I've ripped from the game, and in it are tonnes of great high quality loops - I would've preferred a more 'cut down' official version in lossless though.

Seeing the responses on social networks and on this forum people are willing to buy it.
It's not a huge investment in money which will more likely brake even without too much trouble.
Additionally it brings more exposure to OWI which is always a good thing.

Also the potential argument that OWI should be focusing on the Exoddus remake instead would be absolutely ridiculous as Michael Bross isn't going to work on it yet anyway if they are still in the planning stages.

So I'd say the money is well invested.
