I think Paramiteabe was referring to the Musklum. I'm not sure.
I don't recall any turtle-like hunters, except maybe the early Swanland painting featured in Spectrum that depicted one of the Outlaws without the trademark Dr. Seuss hat.

True, we know nothing about that creature, so there was no point in opening up a new thread, especially since there are other threads to discuss it in. However, to answer your question, I think it was the precursor to a hunter designed for Steef, although I hope not - because I think it's much better than the turtle-hunter we have now.
Neither of them look like a glukkon though, in which case turtle-hunter may have been an early name for gloktigi or oktigi.
Admire me for quoting from an eight-year-old thread.
Or we could just wait for Max to tell us what he was talking about. I don't see any kind of "shell" on that concept art. It has a hunch back, but it's hairy, so it's certainly not a shell.
As for Oktigi/Gloktigi; the concepts for those existed long before SW, and there was nothing turtle-like about them.

The turtle-hunter was just what "we" called Blisterz Booty back when we only had ridiculously low-res screen shots of him from SW's opening movie. He looked turtle-like. *shrug*
