You will be punished with several beatings if you use gay as an insult.
You will be punished with imprisonment in a windowless palace if you attempt to overthrow me as high ruler.

... you respond to someone saying that they don't understand your language by speaking slower and louder. You will be immediately deported back to your own country.

Um that doesn't make sense though. Why would someone who's not punished be sane?
They make the sane decision not to end another's life.

He's got it wrong; it's not about punishment, it's about participation in war.

There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind.
