:
and Fable's story and engine are...?
|
Fable engine didn't crash (Atleast I never had crash with this game :P). Oblivion was crashing like every hour before Bethesda released patch. Then it was crashing just randomly (Especially because of memory leaks). Engine has many other issues. Bethesda wasn't even able to eliminate memory leaks when they used that engine for Fallout 3. I hope they will use new engine for The Elder Scrolls V and Fallout New Vegas.
Pros and Cons (Without those I named above):
Oblivion Pros:
Open and detaily world,
Playtime,
World Editor,
Plug-ins,
OST wasn't bad too,
Oblivion Cons:
Sometimes you feel world somehow empty,
Game isn't really balanced,
Character animations,
Dialogs,
Closing oblivion gates was boring as hell,
Realistic graphics sometimes fails,
Summary: Engine is buggy and some RPG elements doesn't really work together (Game designer was lazy or what, j/k)
Fable Pros:
Quite entertaining,
Brought some new concepts,
Fairly balanced,
Nicely built world,
Fable Cons:
Some parts of game and quests are boring,
Dialogs aren't that great too,
World isn't open,
Relatively short playtime,
Summary: Engine is ok and it's fairly good RPG, but it could be better.
Hard to compare, because each of those games were meant to be played differently, but I think Fable is better.
Anyone with me? :P
