I think he meant he wouldn't use his Xbox on his HD tv, hence why he wants it to be made backwards compatible for the 360.

And my point was that if it were made backwards compatible for the 360, it would be no better, because my impression was that they don't change the game engine to the point that it renders in HD, but that the standard definition footage is merely upscaled.

Holy crap. I don't even care about the Oddbox, seeing as I already have the four games, but I have been waiting sooooooo freaking long for AO and AE to be released in the PSN! My PSP is gonna be soooooo happy! Oh, a little off topic. I still haven't heard anything about Citizen Siege. Anyone heard any news on it?
Yes, I have a PSP too and I also *really* hope it will be playable on the PSP. I'm thinking it probably will be, as I think it will become a PSone classic, which are playable on PS3 AND PSP, however, both sources that annouced it coming on the PSN said this:

"No word yet on whether or not they’ll be PSP-able"

and the other site,
"is making an appearance on the Playstation 3 store this Autumn.""

All we know is they are for sure hitting the PSN PS3 store, so its great if you have a PS3, but if you're like me and don't and want to play it on your PSP, I dunno I guess we'll see what happens.

Where can I see what games are already on the PSN store?

As far as I know, you'll need to either download Media Go off sony's site and use that, or have a PSP or PS3 where you can access it.

Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus 'should' both work fine on the PSP. There's no problem with the L1/L2+Button combinations (you can just use the analog nub for that). I'm pretty sure that it's coming to both PSP and PS3, since it's being ported from the PSOne release.

Great interview... at least it shows I wasn't lying.

Good too hear that Lorne realizes he has been saying for far too long something was "coming soon".

It doesn't make the graphics any better, but the upscaling gets rid of the motion blur.

Meh, the PSN releases aren't really much of a surprise, both Abe games run like a dream on a hacked PSP.

Happy to hear that Stranger is coming to steam, I don't want to have to wait for M$ to fix it

I understand you wouldn't wait for that as they most likely will never do it.

See this is why I actually need to stop and look at this forum from time to time.

Anyway, I'm hoping we can by MO and SW for PC separate from the Abe games cus I already have those working on my laptop (along with all of AOs glitches of course; wonder if they've been done away with for the re-release).

This is somewhat exciting however, and interesting the hints towards online play. Would anyone buy an Oddworld MMORPG?

Of course! I'd love to see an MMORPG. Hand of Odd will be so great if it's ever made.

Hand of Odd would be an online RTS, not an MMORPG.

Citizen Siege: Wage Wars is meant to be some sort of online game. Personally, I think an MMORPG would be an extremely bad idea because almost all of them fail miserably. You just can't compete in a marketplace that has as dominant a competitor as WoW.

Do the glitches hinder the gameplay at all?
Never heard about that before.

I will get MO and SW if they are cheap enough / can run on my slow pc.
That's actually a good concern. Are they gonna port it so PCs even from the Xbox era are able to run it or are they gonna use some newer standards(i.e. pixel shader 3.0) which would discard older systems.
