SligStorm was only planned to be the length of a single AE level and didn't have much of a story (revealed anyway) It was only about a slig that was outcast because he was albino and tries to escape from the factory...

hardly material to make a 50+ hours game.

A first person shooter oddworld style would be awesome, sorta like TF2 style, theres diffrent classes of character with diffrent moves and stuff.

Oddworld Crossing would be uber awesome. I don't suppose anyone played Dwarf Fortress? It's a freeware low-spec game where you deal with these dwarves by making a massive cave system and putting tons of things in it. It's really customisable and very addictive
