Ok how we could start the game like in an FMV r something is we could sy ther is this huge factory that creates elctricity for the mudoes and for the factories and stuff and they genarate electricity by boiling wax and then they use the steam to turn terbines but now every now or then they realease the old wax into the sea and that is disturbing the gabbit city>am i goin the right way?

Here's a devolep version of Azgazco.

Where did you think all that gas came from?
Azgazco of course! Where the Methane means moolah! Only the finest decaying
carcasses (sp), Elums and Mudokon Farts will do. Firstly we suck the delightful smell from the Carcasses then we combine this with the disgustingly refreshing Elum stench to make the most perfect of Gasses, Even the Mudokon farts are used!

Azgazco! Growing one fart at a time.

Now, that could be improved firstly I can't think of Glukkon names so I don't know the boss although his title is
Prof.[insert name here]
The level is littered with Elums that could be ridden, Crates, pipes, fart dispensers, Gas let offs and other things like that.

Here you go Alcar. One detailed summary coming up!(BTW this is my fish factory revised)

Lotsa Fish Industries

Who likes Fishy Puffs? Or how about fresh baked Tasty Pasties? Mabye Bloody Bisquits are more of your thing. Well come on down to to your nearest Lotsa Fish Industries for a fun(and smelly)day! First we catch the fish with our 300 mile in diameter nets surrounding all sides of the factory. Then they flow through indoor canals and go into our grinders where we use all of the shreded fish guts and make it into yummy favorites.


Lotsa Fish Industries is a factory floating in the sea. There is a fish net outside of the factory that is 300 miles in diameter. With this net they catch millions of fish and bring them in. The fish then flow through big canals inside the factory where they are dropped in the grinders and the grinded fish meat drops into barrels and crates for storage purposes. The inside of the factory is very dark and stinky. There are rope bags everywhere holding large amounts of fish. Cranes are bolted on the walls to lift bags of fish, crates, and barrels. Sometimes you can find a fish head on the floor or various fish bodyparts and bodily fluids. Sections of the factory include nets, canals, grinders, factory(where they make their products), Mudokon Pens, prison cells, Slig Bunks, lab(here Vykkers try to concoct new products and try to make better machinery for the factory), and executive offices. Around the netting area you can find many Anti-Chant Orbs keeping intruders out. If intruders do manage to get in they would have to pass the tight Slig security there. Barely any guards are around the grinder area( gee I wonder why) but plenty of Scrubs. Around the lab are Interns and Vykker guards. The head of these chains of factories is Glockstar Ulyss. Products include Fishy Puffs, Bloody Biscuits, and Tasty Pasties.

I have to say one thing regarding this idea. Before you make up regions, don't you have to have some kind of storyline to follow? The idea is still great and everything, but I think the main character and his objectives should both be established first.

how about thisa zoo (I know it sounds stupid)


the only zoo on mudos where they keep captive animals until they lose thier appeal then thier sent into the rest of the complex where testing is done on them thier chopped up to feed the slogs and workers the animals might include meeches other members of the glukkons family a few sligs and slogs without pants and mask of course scrabs, paramites and fuzzles but for only a little extra moolah you can stick a few needles into them or try your hand at a snoozi to see how many fuzzles you can hit and of course all the workers are scrubs also if they slack off they get promoted to food sligs gaurds are only in the backround unless they close it off I forgot to mention the elum rides for the little ones.

Ok now this is just an Idea for the start of the story I don’t have a name and this is just the beginning. There are no special names or anything this is just an idea.
I will give names for all the things that I haven’t named when I think of a suitable name.
Ok here we go.

The opening story

There is a huge factory that supplies power to the cities of the mudoes. How this factory does this is they boil wax (there must be a different name for this wax caus normal wax does not stop boiling when it gets too old) and use the steam to turn huge turbines to generate power. Now after a while they haft to get rid of the wax because when it gets too old it does not boil anymore so what they do is they make an underground system of pipes to the sea and they release the wax into the sea. But no they have made the release hole right under this under water city of the (whatever the species will be called)and it is destroying their city. So our heroes Munch, Abe and (Whoever) go on a mission to stop this from happening.

But now on the way they get info about the queen f the mudanchee being captured because Sam has been rescued and they need a knew supply of slaves (assuming that in M.E we save Sam).But the people who captured the queen aren’t as stupid as the last they are hiding the queen and part of your ission is to find out where. So know not only do they haft stop this factory from destroying the city but they also need to save all the new slaves old mud slaves and I don’t know maybe fuzzles and find and save the new queen.

Now first of all this factory is very far away so to get there they haft to raise money (something like that) like with Lulu in M.O to buy a ticket to get there.Then once they have got the ticket they then haft to get in the train and go to the factory rescue the queen and stop the factory. And we could add more stuff to make it more interesting

Now to add some new characters and races there are the mudanchee, the new race of the hero, the people who run the factory maybe a new type of guard not the slig, And maybe new things we need to heard like meeps to gain money or something like that. And/Or maybe some knew species of natives that will help us find the queens position.

Maybe to put more evolvement and more story to it. Munches power could be they haft to go on a mission for Munch to learn how to speak to some of the richer natives because they speak a different Language and you need them to help you. Maybe that is a bit much.

Different views

In the case that maybe you don’t want another aquatic creature but rather a flying creature then the place where they were releasing it in the sea they could be dumping it n the huge dump but the dump is where the new heroes village or city is.

So this can be changed or whatever to make it better maybe the story will haft to be changed. Now because of this story there will obviously haft to have some pretty sophisticated gamespeak. So whatever.

I only just read that Dan, it's a good concept of having multiple levels to explore. Maybe in the deeper parts the gamer may have to rely more and more on sound (and torches could be provided depending on wether or not the user has surround sound).
It would be an even better concept in some kind of an RPG. For instance, you drop a crate of SSBrew down there and when you go down there you can see a few broken branches and dead things and maybe discolouration of fungus.

I know how to make 3D games,it's just that they're a lot harder.

Ok, alot of people now.

Rettick having a Meech as the main character would be cool, but it was only a concept that myself and Monkey Man were discussing yesterday.

The new charater will either be one of the creatures scrapped from MO, or a new creature that we invent. Remember this is our game, we can invent new stuff, but don't go overboard.

Also we have not started designing the game yet. These regions are to determine who will become a Leader based on their ability to write regions with great detail.

And yes like i have said in previous posts, the storyline is the most important part of the game. If the storyline is not established then there will be no game. And it has to be a good storyline that allows you to go into each region for a reason, not just the sake of completing a region.

So once the Leaders are announced i will also announce the Drawers, Designers and Script Writers.

At the end of today if different people send in a region then there should be enough people to choose from.

heres an idea slig nest

it would be like an extremly important tutorial you enter and at first there are just crawling sligs and a few anti chant orbs the closer you get to the queen the better weapons and more anti chant orbs there are there are two ways to beat it one collapse the tunnel out just before you leave then eventually the sligs will get out and you may have to deal with more later or kill the queen which means that later in the game there will be less if you are a slig charecter you could be supposed to be punished.

Ohhh, I have an Idea for a good level. I have had this Idea for ages and now I get to talk about it. My Idea is a place called Kennels Co. Its a labratory where animals get tested on, but its mostly used for storage of the animals. Thats why its called Kennels Co. Like if Rupture Farms ran out of space to put thier Scrabs, Paramites etc. you could put them here. Surrounding the premisis of Kennels Co. is a huge fence that is extremly tall. On the inside of the fence are gard towers everywhere, because of all the wild animals escaping all the time. Well thats my idea in a nutshell, hope you like it.

Okay, here is an idea for either a main character or important npc and the story-line for the game.

A new island has just been discovered far out in the middle of an ocean. Glukkons have ventured there to find new ways to make a profit. Everything on this island has been cut off from the rest of oddworld by the sea and most of its inhabitants are either completely unique species, or completely unique subspecies. When the glukkons arrive, they find a very large amount of fossil fuels and begin forcing mudokons to dig up the fuel. Almost all of the species on the island begin dying out because of new diseases that have been brought over by the evil glukkons. Disease that does nothing to glukkons and muds is completely devistating to the island inhabitants. There is one species of sentient creatures on this island. They are know as (someone else come up with the name...I'm not good at creating good names) and live underground in big colonies. They are able to block off the disease by putting themselves in sealed glass bubbles. They are able to harness the power of spooce to make short flights in the air while in these bubbles, and can roll around. Outside their bubbles, they can dig quickly underground. Rex (or npc name) is one of these creatures. He has been set out drive the glukkons back because he is the only one that was born with enough resistance to still be well even inside his bubble. He is completely safe in his bubble from the disease, but the others are all slowly dieing despite the bubbles. So far, the glukkons know nothing of his race. Abe has been sent to rescue his buddies that are mining in the dangerous conditions. Munch is back at mudos on his own mission to stop the fishing ect, and will join up with abe and rex later if he can because some of the newly born gabbits have been captured and taken to the island. They have been brought there because it is a long term mission for the glukkons and they need lungs to be handy in emergencies.

Sound good? This is just an idea. Any changes can be made if you want.

The island would have all different kinds of environments in various parts of it. Rex (or npc) could get out of his bubble for short times to dig a hole for abe or munch to get through. When he get back to his bubble, Abe can use his healing abilities from his chest tattoo to get rid of the disease that Rex got while outside his bubble.


Edit: (just thought of some new ideas!!)
The begining of the game could involve abe doing his usual saving muds, blowing up factories missions when he finds out about the island with a huge shipment of mud slaves and gabbit replacements. Then his mission would be to stow away on some of the big ships that are heading to the island. Munch would be out with his gabbit and fuzzle army, trying to stop the fisheries and bumps into abe again. Abe tells him what's going on and munch joins him on the ship to save his gabbit brothers. Meanwhile, Rex could be out leaving his huge subterainean city and going through various environments to reach the glukkons. Then, eventually, Rex meets Abe and Munch and joins their quest.

THE SANCTURY

Deep within a deep forest that was once the home of the great Marakites amidst the great ruins of an ancient mudokon temple lies the sanctury.It is situated in the center of the temple ruins surrounded by great trees and ancient statues, the sanctury is the last refuge of oddworld's rapidly vanishing wildlife.gaurded my mudokon tomahawkers and led by a powerful mudokon shaman.the sanctury is a place of pools of and deep caverns. the sanctury provideds a plac eof shelter for meeps mudflubs meetles fuzzles elums paramites scrabs rats mudokons an even a few native sligs still living naturally. but the greatest secret of the sanctury lies deep beneath the earth, the hatcherys. they lies sprawling out across a thousand caves the hatcherys hold the key to oddworld. hundreds of different kinds of eggs, mudokon eggs, a few lone gabbits eggs and even a clutch of meech eggs the sanctury serves to gaurd these treasures untill the far off day of when oddworld is finally free.

what do ya think i might do another draft but i will post this for now.

Ok, I'll make a place. It's called the Underworld manufacturing.

K, this place is where the best mudokons, that the glukkons choose, go to manufacture products. It is obviously underground, and some of the slaves are blind. There is alot of fire and heaters, where the mudokons throw junk that needs to be melted. If the mudokons disobey their leader, Sergeant Maggis, they get thrown infront of the fire, which almost instantly turns their backs red. Slaves have to be carefulof rocks falling down from the roof, as they can hit you on the head and kill you. The Underground manufacturers are connected to soulstorm mining company by a long underground passage way, which is gaurded by sligs and interns. There are some problems with the Underground manufacturers; There are little weeds that grow up between rocks and poison the slaves. Worthless mudokons are made to pull these weeds out, which kills them in less than a day. These weeds can't do much to sligs or glukkons though, because they have very strong lungs that are used to strong smells. Another problem, is the breeding of mutant fuzzles. The smoke and radiation cause fuzzles to grow differently from their natural way, and they grow two heads or a third eyeball. And the radiation also causes them to breed at an extraordinary rate, so the fuzzles inhabit the Underground manufacturers factories. Products made there include: Extra Strong Soulstorm Brew, Super Butt Flo and Chill Pills. There are more, but there are too many. The Underground manufacturers has a bad atmosphere, and you wouldn't like to go.

Just create a region, the region you create will be used to decide who are the new leaders.

By the way, the leaders are becoming way to hard to decide. There are too many people to decide from so what i have done is:

For every catergory: Designer, Script Writer and Drawers, there will be Leads. They are the ones that will look after those different catergories.

Anyway if you miss out on a leader spot don't be dissapointed, i am only able to decide on a few
