What a noble thing for you to do.
Aside from plot points such as rescuing Sam and the trial of Molluck, the time constraints really meant the exclusion of the great gameplay that was envisioned. Originally MO was planned to splice the genres of action/adventure, animal nurturing and role-playing. An entire world would have been created with massive regions instead of relatively small levels, and very open-ended gameplay. A whole load of emphasis would be made on the status of native and industrial creatures, which would really have injected life into the possession system. Elements of this were seen through Abe's and Munch's ability to command Mudokons and Fuzzles, but imagine possession a Slig, then performing Slig duties until his pay check arrives, buying a status upgrade, then commanding a group of lower-status Sligs to do your bidding. A whole load of emphasis would also be placed on the health of the environment. Native Mudokons would regrow trees, while slaves would cut them down. The industrial races would own addictive consumer goods weaponry so they can turn natives into slaves. It would have been magnificent. I've not heard of any game on the same scale as the planned MO.
