Yes, I, too, am anticipating the next Oddworld game. I'm even more excited that we will probably not know what game they will be working on (if they ever get back to that field-I mean, OWI lay surprises on us sometimes!

). Anyway, like several other people have said, the last quintology game is supposed to be a game with 5 heroes (Abe and Munch included) fighting to completely overthrow the Magog Cartel. (At least that's what I think.) I, too, also heard that they would move into a big city-like place in the end like several others have, but really, this game is WAY too far away to be speculating now-we don't even have the third quintology game yet!

Oh well, it's still fun to talk about it, though.

ya that sucked wen i found out sttranger was an X-box exclusive i saw it at tardet and and i asked them if they had the ps2 version because i hadnt heard any knews about it and then i read on the box it was an X-box exclusive

, which may not all link together at all. Each Quintology was meant to reveal another peice of Oddworld, so by the last game you would see the entire world and all its speices fiting togehter, with things over look turning out alot bigger then first thought.

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think the quintology only occurs on mudos. The rest of Oddworld will only be explored in other games.

I'm sorry to be such a naysayer, but "interesting ideas" doesn't mean a company in exsistence. It doesn't mean a game contract or a movie in production. It doesn't mean Squeeq's Oddysee in my hands or an Oddworld movie at the local cineplex. It doesn't mean that Oddworld still exsists as anything more than some morphine-dream like epic in Lanning's head. Yeah,thats right, phukk me, I'm always naysaying. But Microsoft was burned and so was EA Games, mostly through their own fault, but they were burned nonetheless. Oh, and the mass firings and all around bullshit and doublespeak that LL is known for (whether you believe LL deserves it or not) isn't going to start a company up and it will definately hurt the chances of any future games being made.

The quintology will be done in other forms of media. All of your theories are simply based off of old Oddworld facts that seemingly changed over the years. You guys are constantly repeating yourselves all the time.

I am fairly convinced that Lorne's vision "ie Oddworld" will be done so much more differently than what all of you seem to expect in the comming years ahead. New ideas that we haven't begun to imagine. In the business of creative work things are constantly on go meaning technology is constantly changeing and old concepts seem to be left in the dust to bring forth a new and improved vision.

You can say Oddworld is becomming new and improved! Thats at least what I am getting out of this.

Hey, we do repeat ourselves. It's because we've got no new news to go on.WEll, we do have news, its just news about how boned OWI is. I just saw Stranger's Wrath at a 40% dicount at the local mall a few months after its release. I just wish that people in the know would give us something concrete. Agreed, Statikk. If people are kept in the dark too long, they will lose interest and drift off to other things, because it's difficult to wait on the edge of your seat when there is no end in sight to the waiting. They need to hook people's attention during this critical period of transition.

Anyway, I totally agree with the above posts. Us fans need some info to cling on, even it if it's something like, "Ummm.... yeah, we're thinking about putting some characters into some kind of story.... yeah." Just some tidbit of info to keep us out of the dark.

And besides, it's like Kimon said-no one was calling you dumb or stupid, so don't get so offended.
Anyway, back on topic. I agree with Statikk HDM and Sapphire on this. We shouldn't be kept in the dark because for one thing, it can get a bit confusing for the fans, and another, like Sapphire has said, people will lose interest eventually. From everything that Lorne has stated about Oddworld's move to the new media, I'm still a bit baffled because he also basically said that they aren't exactly leaving the game industry. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
