Final Oddworld
 

What do you think the final Oddworld QUINTAGY game will be.
My opinion is that Abe, Munch, Squeeq(if created) and someone else will set out on an adventure and finad out Molluck is alive then return to Rupture Farms and bet him.

The final game wont involve the characters in this way.

In the final game, I would presume that the characters wont even meet. They would all help each other and unknowingly save tha VORLT.

The quick answer: No.

Well, technically it was. It wasn't supposed to be, they planned loads more, but since they aren't making games anymore and the company looks like something the dog threw up, I can see Strangers wrath being the last Oddworld game.

Lorne said something recently in an article on Oddblog that he was interested in next-gen technology. So they might make some games down the road. You never know.

The final Quintology game will involve 5 heroes, not 4, and early reports said each heroes Oddysee would see them get closer to a big city/industrial centre.

I think that, regardless of any other heros, the central hero in the last chapter will be Abe, and they can call it Abe's Revalation or something to that nature.

The basic action would probably revolve around finally toppling the Magog Cartel, saving Sam, and serving Lady Margret her just deserts. Probably the Shrink will come in somewhere too.

The Oddworld games so far have only been on a small part of Mudos. We have explored approxiamately 1/15 of one continent on Oddworld. The later games will hopefully bring in heroes from the other continents, and I think the last chapter will involving saving the entirety of Oddworld somehow.

Actually, I think the Magog is restricted to Mundos. I think that after the quintology, they'll just make other games and stories on other continents.

Remember though...every game has at least one promised, "Bonus," game. Who knows what will happen then. Besides Leorne, that is.

Yeah, the Magog is probably restricted to Mudos. But I think the Cartel is a lesser evil in Oddworld. Meaning that the heroes final chapter won't deal with the Cartel, but the greater evil, one overtaking all the continents. But I could be wrong.

That's why I said 'the quick answer'. :P But technically, yes, it was the last true OWI game.

OWI (Oddworld Corp?)should make a game where you can make games... It would turn out great.

and 5 heroes? thats kinda confusing, I have a cd from my abe's oddysee game guide and lorne lanning says there will be abe munch and squeek.

Stranger was not the last oddworld game, its not even part of the quintology...

Lorne has not stopped making games thats for sure, but i read on the g4tech tv site that he might make the quintology into movies, because MO wasn't what he wanted it to be, and i guess when he mentioned movies i thought he would make the quintology into movies.

Chirpy7 ummm sorry to burst ur bubble rupture farms blew the hell up, I've heard that mullock is alive but i doubt that the heroes of oddworld will return to rupture farms.

Like didn't u guys read all those threads about stuff like oddworld not being done with games, thier just going into all forms of media (TV movies and games).

How does what I said imply that the Cartel is two parts? Oh, I see what you mean. I was just using two different names to describe the same thing. To avoid repetition, doncha know.

As for the five heroes, each quintology game (or movie) will have a different hero. Makes sense, right? 5 games, 5 heroes? And besides, Lorne only mentioned those ones so far because those are the only ones that are (or were) in development.

I agree. By the end of the quintology the heroes will realise that the glukks and vykkers are only servicing the demands of the khanzumers. In addition, it's likely the rest of the games will have new enemies as well, and not include glukks at all.

Sorry to burst YOUR bubble nicksmith41 but Abe and Munch were meant to return to the site of Rupture Farms in MO and *SPOILER* according to the newcaster slig on the Stranger bonus DVD, Molluck was to return and be put on trial by maggie.

Looking thorught the Oddworld Art book you would see alot of the things that was meant to happen in Munch's Oddysee, such as the lawyer and Munch's real ending to his Oddysee.

Yes 5 heros :talk:, which may not all link together at all. Each Quintology was meant to reveal another peice of Oddworld, so by the last game you would see the entire world and all its speices fiting togehter, with things over look turning out alot bigger then first thought.

Well not the entire oddworld will be seen, Lorne said they'll still may be mesterys on oddworld and things which won't be discoverd.

And SW will be very likey not be the last oddworld game, it's the last for now.

Yep, 5 heros hanging on the bottom of the food chain, and they will work togother.

sorry, i was seven when my dad beat abe's oddysee i dont remember it all to well and when abe said to munch: usually when i leave a nasty place like thast it blows up, i got the impression that rupture farms blew up.

For all I know right now, there's only 3 heroes I've counted: Abe, Munch, and Stranger. Squeek couldn't be one of em', 'cause he isn't introduced to the games. There's 4 games right now, not 5. There might be 5 games, but who knows. (I hope Stranger's Wrath wasn't the last of Oddworld. OWI been's doing such a good job on de games) So, how could there be 5 heroes, when there's one that hasn't been introduced and the other one I has no clue of? (I hope they make a 5th Oddworld game. If they din't, I'ma be so sad.... :'(

[edit] AND.... when I watched the backstory of Abe's Oddesey and Exxodus, Rupture Farms exploded in to a bamillion tiny metal shards of steel meat and Glukkons. How could you say that Rupture Farms didn't explode?

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Lorne and Sherry will finish the Quintology, maybe through different media, like movies. However, if they try to do it through TV, I'll be mega-pissed.
