The first link is fine but the second one is a bit misleading. The type of experience you get during a high depends entirely on the
strain of the plant that you're smoking. For instance a c99 strain cannabis sativa will give you a heady, "up, energetic" high, whereas a big bud strain cannabis indica will give you a body, "couchlock", lazy stone.
If you smoke a tiny quantity, you'll get a mini euphoric feeling, you'll just feel slightly happier and brighter. If you smoke a big amount, you'll get hit by the full force of the plant, and get a more full on strain-specific high. You'll either get full on head, full on body, or balanced head and body stone.
If you eat uncured bud, you'll get blasted. It'll just annihilate you. Especially if it's good shit. It'll be an altogether different kind of high or stone than what you'll get when you cure it and smoke it.
So how your experience goes is dependant on a number of factors:
-"Strain/breed/variety" of plant, and species of plant (sativa or indica).
-How much weed you take.
-How you take it (eating, bonging, smoking, vapourising, eating uncured).
-How long you've been doing weed.
-The conditions the plant grew in.
-The way your body reacts to it.
As you can see, there are a number of variables that you can control to tailor your experience to fit your personal preferences. Not everybody likes a certain type of high. Some people like more of an energetic, up, chatty high, while others like a more stoned, body couchlock type of high. Tailoring your high is what makes MJ a hobby rather than just a drug. If you don't make any attempt to tailor it, then you're not really experiencing the full potential of the plant.
Personally, I grow my own so that I can tailor my high's to be energetic heady highs. I find that couchlock body highs usually make me feel sick if they're too potent. But also I like the luck of the draw, and the randomness of the smoke that you get from smoking a friend's weed. You never know who they bought it from, or what type of plant it came from.
Hope people found this useful. Took me ages to type it.
