Firstly, for shame on you guys who voted 'I hate the buggers'. You are either deeply religious or just plain mean. These are people with different sexual preferences, thats all.

I have one lesbian friend, and one gay friend.
*Looks around the room.*

Why is everyone looking at me?! I haven't voted!

:
There's no need for that, we can all behave like grown ups and have an enlightened discussion.
I know, but there is at least one (potentially two) people on this forum who let all Hades loose against me in the last thread like this, so you understand my precaution.

Anyway, I haven't voted, because I'm somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd choices. Although I might be uncomfortable with that knowledge, I wouldn't shun them or anything.

Same here. I don't hate them, but I'm not entirely comfortable about it. If someone I knew turned out to be gay, I would probably just not bring up the subject and hope that they wouldn't bring it up either. And, no, I don't know any homosexual people personally, but I might know a few on the internet.
:
I was raised to be Christian, but seeing that it goes against my moral beliefs and encourages you to "stone gays" I quickly came to my senses.
Not all Christians hate gays. The trouble is, one group of Christians may go all out against them, and then all Christians get the blame!

For the record, who voted for the last option? I didn't see anyone mention it.

I don't currently know anyone who's out of the infamous closet. There was a guy in school who accidentally admitted he was gay (long story) but I haven't seen him in five years.

There's a couple of people I know now who have my gaydar a'bleeping but they haven't said anything publicly so I'm not going to push the issue. There's one guy who insists he's straight but spends most of his time flirting with me so I don't know what to make of that.

Not me. In fact, I'm going to vote option 2 right now, just to remove all doubt.

EDIT: Just voted. Option #2 is now 12. I know I said I don't know anyone homosexual, but my sis says she does, and I know a lot of her friends, so there you go.

Dont worry, no ones pointing the finger, especially since you just voted. I'm just talking about the more paranoid members of your religion. no offense meant. I have many Christian friends, in fact, 80% of them are. I just don't like the paranoid peoples!

no, he just totally betrayed me because he never told us and when he did, he ditched us.

I'm guessing it was someone goofing around or they didn't realise they would be killed by the people who like/ tolerate homosexuals. Thus, they haven't posted in the thread.

I know three lesbians, two of which are together.

But hell, I probably know more. And my math teacher arouses suspicious, so might as well add him to the list.

Wait, do teachers and family count?

A very pretty girl in my sign language class today revealed her brother was gay. I thought about asking how old he was. It would have been funny, considering I'm usually silent.

We spent most of the lesson drawing up our family trees so we could talk about them in sign to each other. It inevitably descended into several people boasting that, no! They're family is more bizarre than yours!

Why do some people look worried when they find out there are gays in your family? Silliness.

I have some friends I know are gay. But they can't openly admit it at my school or else they'll be ridiculed until they kill themselves or try to change their lifestyle. My high school is like a breeding ground for closed minded Catholic Republicans. It's a damn shame.

Eeeeek, I do know someone. My former best-friend turned friend is bi-sexual. He won't admit it to anyone, and even when he did to me a while ago, he quickly relapsed and claimed he was lying. But it's so obvious I can't believe I forgot about him. And then there are the others that aren't quite gay. But my spidey-senses tingle when I'm around them, so who knows.

I guess like I mentioned in my previous post, I don't know any flat out ex-closeters.

Alcar...

Heh. I think the drama teacher at my high school is gay. I don't know why exactly. He's just too . . . ish.

He does a great Lunch Lady Song though. He's got a shiny bald head too, so that's cool. I think he probably waxes it.

I used to think my Religious Studies teacher was gay. But then he married a science teacher, I guess you can never know.
I also think that some of my friends are gay. But I have no proof.

I know of a few gay people, but I'm not actually friends with them. And no, it's not because they're gay.

They're quite possibly some of the funniest people I know though.

My old english teacher was the campest guy I've ever met. But he was apparently married with kids so you never know.

There was a gay teacher at my school, though I never had him. I always thought it was strange that kids were so homophobic about any of their friends who they thought may be gay but didn't give a crap about the teacher.

My one memory of him was a quote in the student newpaper that went "F*ck went the king, as 20,000 arseholes flashed in the sun!"

You have to have 10 characters in your post, not including quotes. So when Rich wanted to draw attention to something in my post without actually passing comment, he wrote "10 characters" just to make the count.
