I completely forgot about the Vykker dangling down from the strings. Maybe Vykkers do appear afterall, which might mean that all those Sligs (etc) have a good chance of appearing too. But that would also mean Lorne lied in that interview.

Perhaps it was a gag, thrown in by Oddworld for kicks? I mean, it looks like a puppet attached to strings. I doubt a Vykker would purposely make themselves look stupid.

It probably is just a gag thrown in by Oddworld Inhabitants, like in MO they have Paramite Pie boxes lying around the place in some levels, and in AE, in FEcco Depot, there is a sign saying ' Rupture Farms: CLOSED', their just simple gags thrown in by Animators and script writers

well I think that vykker has something to do in the plot, like:
Stranger annoys outlaws by capturing bosses
they annoy him by cilling his doctor, and his health problem can't be cured that way...

Yipes! A scary though just came to me. If Vykkers are in the this area of Oddworld it's not unreasonable to think that they may start using the natives there to do work or experiments on too! I pity those guys.

apparently there is only one isolated vykkers
who lives alone in a society of Clakkerz, so I guess he won't be as free as he wants to be. So he won't be as sadic as he could be

I suppose it could be possible that the doc is a Steef. In addition to that picture of the Vykker hanging, in the X-factor there is a sketch of a Stranger and a Vykker in the corner looking at him. It could have been changed since then but the picture of the Vykker hanging makes it more likely that the doc could be a Vykker

Am I the only one that thinks that that Vykker looks like he's been lynched? Perhaps there was a revolt against the doc or something?

No, I too initially thought the Vykker looked like it was being lynched. But it also looks like a puppet. My idea that it was a joke stemed from both of those guesses.

The lab the fuzzles destroyed in MO wasn't the only Vykkers Lab.

Cheers to that! What Al the Glukkon says is true in factual basings too! I learned that somewhere, perhaps it was the Art od Oddworld Book. It said that The area of Vykker's Labs that was destroyed was the main research building and devoplment center but Vykkers Labs where all over the place but didn't fly/float (kinda like the others labs were like pharamceys and the flying one was the main reseach office) I have that was the case with Rupture Farms, it was the main building, and without it the other Rupture Farms sorta died off without any help from the main Rupture Farms. The Story with Soul Storm Brewery is hazy as to if to Soul Storm stayed around still being produced after the destruction of the brewery (Alf said the Soul Storm for the Blitz Packers came from a warehouse storage area).

I don't know if this has been officially confirmed or not but we all assume that the sketches in the X-Factor video predate the designs of all the new characters (with the exception of Stranger, of course). The barman vykker probably represented a hicken.

There were also pics of muds that we assume represent the salamanders. In TAOOI:TFTY book there is also a small picture of some muds in a fishing village. There is a comment that it was a concept art for Stranger, with the muds filling in for other species.

I was thinking along those lines, I came up with a theory about why Lorne neglected to mention the vykkers returning. But this new pic totally blows it right out of the water!

Maybe Lorne just wanted us to be surprised when we see the V. return in SW.

It seems Stranger lives in Western Mudos, and not ”as Australia is to Nicaragua„ after all. This means there cannot be Vykkers far away - Vykkers Labs is a far-flung enterprise, remember, not that ‘Doc’ strikes me as working for VL.

If I recall correctly even though he did say the Vykkers wouldnt be appearing in the game, he had alluded to the fact of some returning classic characters. Either way Im glad to see him in the game and it should raise some interesting questions in the plot. =)

You know Mr. Lanning may have not been lying, but misleading. He said that there would be only Fuzzle in the GAME. He didn't say anything about cut scences, or movie clips in the game. So there could also be muds in the cut scences or other familar creatures. He may have also said that the only familar creatures in the game are fuzzles meaning they are the only characters that you do alot of interacting with like slurgs (they are in AE but you don't do a great deal with them, exept in this game if there are any other familar creatures you would probley deal with them less or the same amount as slurgs).

I am in concordance with Alcar, I didn't mean mislaeding in the sence he was trying to trick us but tell us the truth without giving too much away. I got an e-mail from Alf saying that there would be 1 more familar creature in the new game but didn't tell me what it was, I will post the e-mail later so stay tooned
to see it. I think were on track with the guess here about Stranger's doc
